Yes, an absolute classic that is... :hihi:
I actually have a soft spot for that song. Don't tell anyone.
:violin: where do you go to my lovely, when you're alone in your bed...something about Napoleon Brandy...blah blah bleurgh
Well, it's not the song as much as the memories that are conjured up when I hear it... *sigh*

Are you kidding? :-o

When I was in high school, there was no prom that year (total lack of interest), and I don't think we had a graduation theme. However, when I graduated junior high, I distinctly remember a ceremony where they kept playing "Yesterday" during the proceedings. It's a beautiful song, but what a f**king depressing choice for a junior high school graduation.

"...I'm not half the man I used to be / There's a shadow hanging over me..."

What sick depressed person picked that for a junior high graduation theme? It's no wonder none of us ever amounted to anything! :hihi:

The moral of the story is: Pick a damn positive song for a graduation theme, or class song. How I wish they had chosen "You Got Another Thing Coming", by Judas Priest. At least, some of us might be rich now. :hihi:

"Out there is a fortune waiting to be had. You think I'll let it go, you're mad. You got another thing coming."

Did anyone else have a completely inappropriate class song, or is this just a tradition at my school?

take care,
McLilith

My older brother was No. 1 when I was born, but to my credit I was straight in at No. 2 that week, and have remained there ever since :hihi:

(I didn't recognise the proper No.1s  )
