But I never considered wearing it. That would have been embarrassing, even in the 80s.

Back then I could get away with being a mediocre one-handed keyboardist because 'it's mono!'. Nowadays, I have no excuse

They were probably using the arpeggiator. I have to say I got a lot of use from that, the internal sequencer, and my DR 110 CV'd to the 101. Life was interesting before Midi.

Of the ones I've actually seen and touched, I really admire the Korg EMX in action. It's color scheme is fantastic, with plenty of dynamic movement provided by it's lit and flashing buttons and leds. IMHO, the way the unit looks in low light is a marvel of funtional and artistic design, ranking right up there with food porn.

Of course when it comes to synths being "pretty", nothing beats the old Optophonic Piano.
It was doing trippy 60's style light shows with synth accomponiment way back in 1916!
