NEW VST Effect - killerGATE+

That's a crossfade. I've been playing around with it some more, and found that the best use for the plug might be at lower volumes, where if you set the gate and LFO against each other right you have sort of a programmable step-tremolo effect. Never thought there'd be such a thing but it does sound cool! With the filter you can set up tremolo sweeps(another cool new thing). I've been saving presets and when I get enough I'll send you a patchbank.

Hey Bones did'nt you say the gate was tied to the host tempo?

This is a really wonderful tool, thanks so much. That said, I regret I have to report a problem. I think maybe the gate feature on this effect(along with the one on Lovekiller as well), might not be playing well with the Cakewalk DX-VST adapter. The gate tempo is stuck on 120 and will not change no matter what I do. At least this one works though; I haven't ever been able to get Lovekiller's gate to work in Sonar.

Moe : this is nothing to do with this plugin, its to do with the wrapper's settings. You need to set up the VST-DX adaptor to register plugins as tempo-enabled before they'll sync to tempo changes.
Rerun the adaptor, and when its compiled the list select the killerGATE plugin, then hit 'Properties'. When you get the properties dialog, click in the 'Tempo Enable' checkbox.
If you're using a version of the adaptor that's older than 4.4.2, then you'll have to enable it as a DXi instead, and insert it from the Instrument list rather than the effect list.

Awesome looking unit that may just kick some Scuzzphut Butt around here? The distortion aspect is tingling my fingers as I type!
Looks like a great addition Bones, thanks mate!
As to Iamtheking - I don't think Audicity allows for VST plugin's? If it's the Wave Editor I'm thinking of - as good as it is (and it's pretty good!) the only way to use kILLERgATE would be with Wavelab to the best of my knowledge?

Thanks Whyterabbyt, no worries now. This effect just rocks. You should hear what you can do for Augur's Prophecy Bank with this thing! Just absolute brilliance.

Actually, this is pretty sweet Bones. And the self oscillating Resonance and wide selection of filters is a real nice touch. Pretty simple to get a rythem out of, and the time switching up to 64 is a real bonus too. Thank you good sir!
Ttoz - maybe that was what I had confused about Audacity? But effects can be tempo-synced in WaveLab, or else I'd be up the creek. Have to set BPM in the Preference options under Tempo/Time Code first though. But all of SmartElectronix seems to follow it bang on so far?
Haven't tried KillerGate in WaveLab yet, when it works so well in Orion...
