Hi.

If the x64 version works natively, maybe that dll is still present in your system then, if that's the case, I may be able to implement a fix for that very quickly.

Could you do a search in your system for the dll mentioned, and if it finds it, could you tell me where it's located?

Thanks.

The .dll is no more present on my system. If i remember right that .dll will be installed by CUDA Toolkit :

Hi.

But if you load the 64bit plugin in a 64bit host, do you still get that message?

I've already say that the native x64 Nebula works fine (without the error popup) in Sonar X1A x64.

Oh, sorry, you did, I misread it.

Hum, that's a weird one, is everything running as admin? That beta I sent you doesn't show any other message mentioning permission issues? Also, in which folder to you have the Nebula plugins installed?

Yes all running as admin, furthermore UAC is completely disabled.
No other messages with the beta, nothing changes between the two versions.
Nebula are installed (x64) in c:\vst plugins (x64)\Mastering\nebula\acustica ,if i remember right.

Hi.

Unfortunately I am currently out of ideas. :(

I am going to try to ask the Nebula folks about this, maybe it's something they've seen before.

KWILD wrote:I know that .dll is cuda related.
I have an Nvidia card in the past but i've uninstall it from months.
Also i've try nebula x64 on sonar x1 x64 and all works fine.No error popup at loading.
Just to give your some clues,Nebula comes also as "Cuda powered" there's an option to use the video card to "accelerate" the Nebula dsp's to free cpu power.
Anyway im using a normal Nebula without Cuda option activated, and as you know cuda don't works with ATI and i've uninstalled all related to nVidia/CUDA,before installing ATI card some months ago.
contact me if you can't solve, maybe it's related with nebula and not with jbridge.
Can you check if you have a file cubr*.dll in your system?

For what I can say: nebula loads the bridge if present in your system. The bridge is aware about what cudart.dll is. Without the bridge I can't find a logical reason why it should look for the cuda runtime....

Ciao Giancarlo.
I have no cudabridge installed,i removed all the reference to nvidia/cuda stuff on my system (win7 x64).
Also i try to reinstall cuda bridge just to know if can fix somehting but all remains the same.I've unistall the cudabridge but nothing changes.
It's really strange, only the jbridged Nebulas have that error. The native works without problems.

Hi umd,

First off Jbridge has been great for me! I have been using it for over a year with Cubase 5.5.2 32bit and now have migrated to Cubase 6.0.1 32bit and it has been very stable.

I am dabbling with going to Cubase 6.0.1 x64 and am having a bizarre problem. All of the 32 bit plugins I Jbridged (all of the Arturia, M-tron, Jamstix, etc.) worked without a problem. I thought this was going to be a breeze…

However, when I create a large project (over 3 gb) using Trllain, Ivory, SD2, Omnisphere (all x64) and load 32 bit Jbridged VSTs - I get various hangs. Sometimes it hangs while starting the project "AUXHOST has stopped working". Other times the project loads - the VSTs can be played - but when you open the GUIs I get the "A Serious Error has occurred…" Cubase crash.
When I take the same large crashing project and place Jbridge VSTs first - everything loads fine and I can not make it crash.

I tried all of the combinations of the settings one by one but could not seem to fix this. I have UAC off and tired to run everything under admin - no change.

I tried to isolate it to a x64 VST that might be conflicting by unloading VSTS one by one but it seems not to follow any one particular VST but rather the size of the project and the fact that the bridged VSTs are loaded last.

Very strange… Any help is appreciated.

John

Hi - I did some quick testing and it seems much better. Projects that would not load before - are now loading. JBridged VST GUIs that would produce "A Serious Error..." in Cubase seem fixed.

I still get the "AUXHOST has stopped error" occasionaly. I kill the Cubase process and restart Cubase and the project loads fine.

I will perform some more in depth tests tomorrow and get back to you with the reuslts.

Let me know if you want me to try any other settings, etc.

Thanks for your help!
