Last i know is that Winny gave it up due to the sheer amount of presets. My dear friend simply underrated the effort for this incredible task.

Once completed this effort will be of world wide benefit. There are many many people who would like to finally have such a complete but lean set of DX/Dexed banks.
Is there a way to split up the effort and have say ten people do only a much smaller part of it?
p.s. I'm loving Dexed more and more every week

The huge collection is almost complete. I don't publish it today because I have still some files to put at their right place and to check, but all is almost ready... and there is also another reason: I'm in family until Sunday.
For those who have missed the first (and current) version with 666 sysex files (original factory sysex files of almost all the 6-op Yamaha stuff and also some famous collections which are here really complete, and all that without any duplicate), it is here:
http://black.winny.free.fr/MAO/Dexed_cart.zip.
And as we talked together about, I'll number the versions (1.0, 1.1, etc.) when I update the file with new patches.
I wish you all an excellent New Year! And don't abuse the Champagne!

That's what you'll find in pretty much every 10,000 patch DX7 collection.......thousands of clones.D N A wrote:where i can find some FM7 banks ? I mean, not 35262456256 presets but some selected / grouped / ordered / without thousands of clones ?
Here's 32 that were in my TX7 when I sold it:

A Herculean work, BlackWinny! Thank you ever so much!
And A Happy New Year with the family!
PS I didn't know that champagne could be abused.

If anybody comes across a bank called German Dude where all the patches start and end in an asterisk e.g. *Syn Bass 1* please post it here. I've been looking for it for years. I had it in Atari 1040 ST DX Android format along with quite a few banks I've never seen again and some original patches that are lost forever.
Also if you can find any patches or banks from Bo Tomlyn or Cosmo Watts snap them up immediately as they represent the finest in DX programming in the 80's.
I've Googled for those patches several times over the years but could never find them.

I did miss the first version. Thanks for all your efforts in compiling this collection. And I see there are some banks from Bo Tomlyn.BlackWinny wrote: For those who have missed the first (and current) version with 666 sysex files (original factory sysex files of almost all the 6-op Yamaha stuff and also some famous collections which are here really complete, and all that without any duplicate), it is here:

In my next version, there will be many sysex from Bo Tomlyn (perhaps all those he made, I must check again).Teksonik wrote:If anybody comes across a bank called German Dude where all the patches start and end in an asterisk e.g. *Syn Bass 1* please post it here. I was about to ask about the state of the preset list as well
I'm glad & thankful that BlackWinny is a man of his words and continued working on it - once again, much appreciated
I can only imagine how exhausting & time consuming it is - and let's face it, nobody else stepped in to take this task on, so kudos
Happy New Year everyone
