That is the SINGLE-MOST far-fetched advertisement claim EVER by any DAW software developer - period.

The biggest change??? Are you kidding??? Who even thought of that sales pitch?

Yeah, that quote is a bit of a stretch. Where on Propellerhead's website did you source it from?

That isn't the most far-fetched though. Remember Steinberg's teaser campaign last November when the then unreleased update to VST Connect sat on their website with the mysterious tagline "This Will Change Everything...", followed by "Everything Has Changed" on release day? I still haven't seen anything since which rivals that collective "huh?".

My God...in 2014 with all the amazing softwares there are, if you're saying that, that DAW better do something AMAZING!!

Instead...look at what that sales pitch was designed to do = Simply rope people in. When it's completely NOT the biggest change to music making.

Sad days for Propellerhead.

The over the top "would make even apple's marketing department cringe" advertising is nothing new, the product page for Reason was embarrassing before version 8. Maybe some just notice it more now because this update and the props business practices as of late have pissed them off and they stopped drinking the kool aid...

My music creation process has improved drastically with R8. My god I can't believe how bad the old browser was. I can't go back. Thank you Propellerhead.

For any of you Nektar Panorama users out there, Nektar released an update recently that now allows you to show/hide the browser in 8 directly from your Panorama (Shift + View) as well as scroll through a list of all native Reason devices and create them (Shift + Instrument) without ever having to lift your eyes from your Panorama (once you start scrolling through RE's, though, you have to look at your monitor as they currently do not show on the Panorama's list of available devices due to lack of Remote support). They also added a crapload more RE profiles to their Remote codecs. Couldn't be happier with my P4 and R8!

A word of caution: you don't need to update the firmware in order to activate the new feature. Just running the driver installer will get you that plus the new RE remote support.

I noticed they finally added support for Khs One, which is one of my favorites.

Great, thanks for the tip. I have the Khs One as well, lovely synth. This is so great, man I am rebuilding a bunch of Kong Kits drag and drop makes life so easy. Kong is like a whole new instrument. Happy, happy, happy.

Admittedly, I rarely used Kong before Reason 8 - mostly due to it being a pain in the ass to setup samples in all the pads. I'm in total agreement with you - now that I can drag and drop to it, I find myself using it a lot more.

I remember that FL did somewhat the same marketing gaffe when they had a certain publicist use their blog to pump their program. I think the marketing Dept needs to have at least a modicum of knowledge regarding these products

Well. I ended up getting the thing but so far....knock on old barnboard here...it seems to be working good.
