Keep in mind PV is based on a Rev 2, Repro based on a Rev 3. Different filters. Rev 2 SSM2040, Rev 3 CEM. Different strokes for different folks though. All subjective. I happen to prefer the Arturia over the Repro based on layout, and effects. The UI is obviously more faithful

Too bad not on the DX7, CMI and Synclavier
That's good news but also bad news. DX7 is the one I really wanted MPE for!

I was looking at the descriptions for the CS80 on the website and didn't see any mention of it (edit: found the description after a page search, does mention mpe compatibility). But glad to see that one has MPE. Does that include modulations for timbre/Y axis?

That's what I'm hoping for in the next generation of KeyLabs with Fatar keybeds, considering there's rising competition and at least 3 players into poly-expression technology for standard keyboard layouts (ASM/Medeli, Fatar, Behringer).

Yes, it seems to have 2 slots for the Y axis

Well... the new Arturia Prophet V sounds IMO a bit cleaner than the U-He. I still prefer the U-He.
The CS80 v4 sounds good but I honestly have no use for the synth.

The update is ok but I will wait a bit, maybe end of the year or next year.

Echoes in the Attic wrote: Mon May 09, 2022 4:03 pm Any guess what the upgrade cost would be from V6? I'm glad I didn't upgrade in the last deal to V8. I had a feeling they'd have new stuff soon enough. Very glad I waited with all that's in this one.
Current upgrade price is $349 so I'm guessing the fabulous intro price for people not keeping up will be $249-$299, but I'm just guessing and that's based on a $149-$199 price for the more loyal among you.
Nailed it. $299 for disloyal owners who are still on V6. I had enough time to make coffee, and drink the first cup, before I could get logged in to see the upgrade price.

Amazed so many of you have the new stuff already, I cannot even get their site to load!

it's $199 for me. i have v8, pigments and efx fragments.

so, i think i'll wait until black friday or sometime late 2023 for the pre-v10 sale. only just got v8 in the recent sale so not in a hurry for what's new.

edit: also, took a while to load the site to see the upgrade price but eventually it loaded. the arturia software service center app installed all the updates for the v8 plugs pretty quickly though. no issues there.

P5V is nice but MS-20V is the stand out for me.

One of the nice things about Arturia is that the regular updates will all work for owners of previous versions. So in this case everyone gets some load-time boosts and browser tweaks. It's just the CS-80, Prophets and Piano that won't get those updates because they are much bigger revisions.

I have over 12,000 presets in Analog Lab. You know, I think I'll be okay for a while.

Yes, the website is quite hard to reach at the moment. I wanted to take a look at Augmented Voices, but I'm getting there very slowly.
The Software Center is not very helpful either, I couldn't see any of the newer plugins/versions there.

Are sq80 and prophet backward compatible to v8 presets, or have they done the same nasty move like on jupv4

Post

Prophet V is a new synth, so probably the presets are not compatible with the old Prophet.

Prior to installing Analog Lab V update my preset count was 9366 and after installing the update it is 8841. Wtf?

Note that presets include Analog Lab, Pigments, preset banks, etc., but the difference after updating is over 500 presets are now missing?

I was hoping that preset count would increase due to the new synths.

Did anyone observe anything similar?
