Not sure how outrageous it is but I love these. Looks fantastic and I love that the colour effect is created by shaping through the timber layers rather than painted in perfect detail.

is that neck pickup single coil? looks like it might have some 'spank'.

speaking of spanky pickups:

This is on the way. It'll be my third O'Donnell. The guy is severely under-rated. I guess he just doesn't put himself out there. Maybe he just doesn't want the drama.

2nd hand..all the O'donnells are..the first one wasn't I suppose. I bought it from the dude who built it...for a ridiculously low price as he'd just rec'd a 15K bill for flying guitars to NAMM and he was stuck.

indeed, that is a beautiful guitar.

No question about it, werp has great taste.

Years after posting I want a seven (and pretty sold on Carvin considering my fantastic gold top is) I've seen them move in a different direction with a guitar that is VERY affordable and will kick Ibanez's ass up and down the court. But I'm pretty much in limbo for even like 1200 bucks. I've seen a bunch of real beauties come and go in the "in stock" category w/o pulling the trigger. Sad I am.

Here is the "look" I could live with, but this photo is an 8....I have no need for an 8 string!

Again, the reviews are very enticing, I'd love the flat black (though they some other really interesting colors in satin! ) and I'd rather not have those "diamond" inlays (standard) I'd rather have an ebony or "birdseye maple" board with no inlays. (yes, bright is a good thing for a 7)

Yeah yeah yeah, like way back, I could order it, put a little down, get it EXACTLY as I want and then just push like hell for my spending account to have the balance when due in 7-8 months, but what if for any reason I don't like it? Yeah they'll take it back, but I hate that shit.

Maybe you should join this group and order a seven stringer. This is the guy who built Shark II.
I have a TX Eaton due around the end of March..in the multiscale.

Love Werp's guitars.

No more guitars in the near future for me. I'm actually thinking of unloading a few.
Some of them haven't touched my hands in years now. Didn't used to be that way. I used to play every guitar I owned at least once a week.

It's also the linnstrument addiction I'm dealing with. Forget what you may have read or heard. A linnstrument whether you have a background with keys or guitar is still a beast to be reckoned with. Everyday I'm trying to advance forward with the basics of scales and chord progressions. It really takes time to develop muscle memory for it. Which is fine for me. I like a good challenge.

I like the eastwood airline tuxedo.

It reminds me of the kay Barney Kessel signature guitars from the 50's
It's a jump blues / jazz swinger. Lots of punch.
