Not being in the target group for expansions, I will pass on these, but if you release that FM thingy between oscillators, I will tell Santa that you guys have been really good.msvs wrote:cool things from the past....
btw, there will be 2 new Avenger expansions this year: "8 bit era" and "16 bit era" which I made with love.
And these XPs contain a very special easter egg for Avenger...

I thought about this: If avenger now gets cross-osc modulation, how cool would it be to display the modulation list as a clever matrix instead?

if you bought it today, there is a good chance you already have it. If not, then just download it here, de-zip and copy it in the Leads folder

Hmmm, I just imported some granular multi-samples which are in 48 Khz and the old problem persists, they are off by almost a semitone, I thought this issues had been fixed long ago.

Indeed, after converting them to 44.1 Khz, the pitches play fine, although the granular multi-sample doesn't set the root notes as they should be, it's obviously set to C instead of D# as marked in the sample name. *sigh*Sampleconstruct wrote:Hmmm, I just imported some granular multi-samples which are in 48 Khz and the old problem persists, they are off by almost a semitone, I thought this issues had been fixed long ago.

Soooooo let's get back to an issue I was complaining about from day one.
BLURRY GUI.
Just installed a 4k-screen and indeed - Avenger is a beauty now.
Problems start wenn looking at my plugin base.
- Fabfilter: nice
- Imageline: new plugins are OK, old ones: fail
- D16: new plugins are OK, old ones: fail
- Keilwerth Audio: fail
- Native Instruments: fail
- ReFX: fail
- Izotope: fail
- Korg: double fail (has been a nightmare on HD-screens already)
...
MS Office 2010: FAIL
So yeah....I'm not too sure what I'll be doing with this. I love the amount of space on the screen, I love how fonts sharpen up big time in the browser - but if I need to get my eyes 5cm in front the screen to read what the plugin says...I'm not too sure if I really want this.
What are your experiences?

What size is your 4K screen? I did a test run by hooking up my PC to the 40" 4K panel in my den, and Windows recommended I scaled my apps to 150%. I did, and everything looked pretty good, if not a little washed out/fuzzy (Reason & iZotope: I'm looking at you). Scaling everything to 125% seems to work better.Warehouseparty wrote:Soooooo let's get back to an issue I am complaining about from day one.

I went for 28" only, since my desk is really small, I do have only 40-50 cm from eyes to screen. Windows is scaled to 150%, so is FL Studio. Perfect size IMO. Apart from all the VSTs that are somehow not upscaling and MS Office and most of my software (not music related).EnochLight wrote:What size is your 4K screen?

@warehouseparty
I am sure, many of your listed plugins can at least scale their size
for example
Nexus (on PC) on the backside
Phalanx
this is just a normal zoom, you should set it to 200% for maximum sharpness
for MS Windows programs you can do a general Windows size zoom of 150% or other percentages. Everything (fonts, icons etc) is bigger then.
I have no clue about Mac however

Can't but wonder how small the mac users percentage is in reFX world, for such discrepancies to appearmsvs wrote:@warehouseparty
