Thanks for this synth, it sounds awesome. :) Still need to get used to it though... not sure what some knobs and switches do but well... i'm quite a beginner anyway. :)

A really nice synth :)

I love that my "1 Calculation" preset is the first preset that shows up. I can already hear some new users saying: "What this synth just does this kind of weird noises? Shit." *close plugin* :hihi:

There are some really nice presets in the "factory library"!
Really worth to check them all out.

easy: on unison it goes from -1 to +1 in as many steps as you got voices. put it on osc tune for some chords and stuff.

if you only have one voice it'll just do +1, which gives you ways to use modulation slots to beef up parameter ranges.

I love the voice modulator. It does some great things when it's routed to LFO rates of a LFO which triggers an envelope, which.... :hihi:

Thanks for putting my presets into the "factory library" :)

GREAT patches everyone!
Loving the sound of TyrellN6 ..definitely gonna spend a lot of time playing with this synth and use it in my music as well!
GREAT job Urs, you've brought the analog synth feel one step closer in the digital realm... again! :tu:
P.S Found one of Bronto's patches in DocM's folder. (Big Brass)

Wow I must be a dolt, I still cannot log in to amazona to download Tyrell. I have successfully created an account and have had several new passwords sent to me but utterly fail to be able to log in. Any ideas would be appreciated.

You don't need to be a registered user anymore :)

Just download the synth here: http://www.amazona.de/index.php?page=26 ... le_id=3372

Help out a dummy.

Installed OK- I can twiddle the knobs and load presets - but no sound on this old PC. Windows XP SP2, Athlon XP processor.

Program Files/u-he/TyrellN6/Data

the Data folder has 3 folders, Fonts, Images, and Scripts

for presets, this is the path:

Program Files/u-he/Presets/TyrellN6

The .dll path is Program Files/VstPlugins/u-he

These locations work in XP All the other U-he synths are there, although
newer versions installers may not be that way by default.

Can anyone tell me the parts of the gui text files that control
the Vera.ttf font, for size, color, or other implemented details?
Everything in TyrellN6 works in linux, except that font won't load, and
its the same font used in all U-he instruments, where it shows up normally
in each of them on the same setup. :bang:

:hihi: Cheers

Thank you for your reply. I had done all that, except I used different folders.

Data folder: C:\Documents and Settings\DarkStar\My Documents\music\u-he\Tyrell N6\TyrellN6.data

VSTi folder: C:\Program Files\VST Plugins\Synths (the shortcut to the above folder is there too).

This is the same way as I did Uhbik.

Thank you so much Mr. Heckmann!

I only scratched the surface by listening to the included presets but I'm alredy convinced this is a fantastic synth; you did a very good job at writing it and the included presets show how good the sound engine is... This thing just sounds deep and alive to my ears!

Ah right, that's interesting! So for a value of 24.00 the resulting chords will be chromatic? Or does a value of 1.00 = +1 semitone for each voice; so that for 3 voices, with a value 1.00, playing C would give C,C#,D? :?

EDIT: I've worked it out - it's the latter.

(and a very minor suggestion - swapping ADSR for ENV in the mod sources list might be slightly clearer.)
