It's their give-away on their terms,
but switching to Facebook is not a fitting equivalent when
only Facebook-subscribers may participate,
Facebook-subscribers are not made aware of the terms of use as visitors of their site were,
and they could accept email requests from everyone with automated responses to "subject".
Well, good luck to everybody.
Greetings
D.

This was in the newsletter that I received from Arturia announcing the deal.george wrote: Interesting, do you have a source for that?
So, reading between the lines, there is an opening for a new, official range of Moog emulations. Moog have been active on the mobile platforms recently, and presumably they might have their eye on the desktop/professional platforms too.Arturia Newsletter wrote:We are celebrating a partnership with Moog Music that gave birth to the Moog Modular V and Minimoog V. This partnership, initiated by Bob Moog himself, is coming to an end and the Moog Modular V and Minimoog V soft synths will soon be remerging as the updated and renamed Modular V and Mini V. We saw this as an opportunity to give musicians a gift that will symbolize this historical collaboration.
This is, of course, pure speculation on my part.

Thanks, I will add more speculation
is this giveaway trying to impact future MOOG sales?

I remember why I don't like this emulation
Some parts on the interface are hard to read. It sounds ok but not better than Di... ehm... the competitors
Unison seems only to work with monophonic sounds?
Yes, it needs not much resources! People could argue that's because of the (eventually) not so accurate emulation or Arturia is using some black magic
The original is missing the additional modulation stuff (this stuff is inside the hidden panel, only available in the non-free version). The presets are using this features but there is of course no option to tweak it.
For free it's not bad but for me it does not help to force up the interest to buy the full version

Why does a "sweepstakes" box pop up on the Facebook info page?

Hmmm.... On Facebook it says to "like" the page to get the synth. I liked it, which resulted in a screen with a button captioned, "Click to get your software," which when clicked does ... nothing

There are a lot of folks posting on FB that they are having either the same problem, or other problems... this might prove to be one of those case studies in how not to build your brand on the internet

True, they had really underestimated the demand for this product.lingyai wrote:There are a lot of folks posting on FB that they are having either the same problem, or other problems... this might prove to be one of those case studies in how not to build your brand on the internet
I feel sorry for those who had planned to buy other Arturia products today from the website, they would have had to postpone that for sure
