After saying I wasn't going to bother with the 64bit version of PPG 3V I'm thinking now I should.

I'm on Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit, Cubase 7.5 64bit + elicenser.

I assume I should uninstall my original PPG 3V - should I then just install 64 bit VST3 (and remember to move my user preset folder)?

This seems to be te correct procedure indeed. At Windows 7 the user folder for PPG wave 3.V should be at:
c:\users\your name\AppData\Roaming\Waldorf}PPG Wave 3.V Sounds

It is also possible to find this quite easily in the built-in browser: right-click on "User Library" and choose "Reveal in Explorer" from the right-click menu. Same is also possible with the Factory library ("Local Library") if needed.

After Installing there should be up to 6 different uninstallers for each plugin format (on a Mac it should be more). Of course there wil be only one if you only install the VST3 plugin.

Took a break from using Largo and reading this thread, but installed RC5 now and I've been playing an arp for a good while now without sync problems. This on Studio One Mac 64bit AU.

Promising!

Just thought I'd mention this: I have been testing it out and reading up all I can about PPG Wave 3.V, and noticed on the requirements page of the site, it still says it's 32-bit.

Of course, I know there is now a 64-bit version. Is it listed that way because it's still in the RC stage? (RC3) I guess it will probably be updated after the RC stage is over.

They should probably update that page, my 2 cents :)

Also I just noticed: They spelled requirements "Reqirements"

Thanks

If there are a bunch of different presets in the 8 parts (after I load in a bank), and I click the Edit menu, then click either "Init Part" or "Init All Parts", it doesn't seem to work. All the parts stay the same either way.

"Init Program" works like the manual says (page 17). The version number I've got is 1.0.4 RC3

I have Windows 7 Pro 32-bit and I'm using Sonar X3.

I could confirm this, "Inir Program" seems to work properly (both from the File menu and the right-click menu).

Strange thing is that in the past mostly when i wanted to Init the bank i selected all patches in the bank and used "Init" from the right-click menu instead using the "Init Bank" feature. If i think about it now i don't know why i did it that way.

It is also stange that this bug was not reported earlier.

We want to finish all bug fixes for the Waldorf Edition ASAP so any bug reports for the included plugins are welcome.

There seemed to be a serious bug with the Registration of the Waldorf Edition 32-bit VST2 plugins at OSX where it was not possible to enter the Registration data.

This is an updated installer with the updated/fixed OSX 32-bit VST2 plugins that should fix this problem:

It would be nice if some KVR members could test this, if possible (besides other hosts) with both older and newer versions of Cubase (v6, v6.5 and the recent ones).

This is the current Windows installer (should not include the problem mentioned for OSX):

First tests in OSX Mavericks seemed to show that concerning the Registration the updated OSX installer of the Waldorf Edition seems to work properly with the 32-bit VST2 plugins now.

We be would be interested to hear if it also works in older OSX versions and in both older and newer versions of Cubase (e.g. v6, 6.5, 7.0, 7.5).

For those who would like to test this in multiple hosts it would be maybe necessray to delete the activation/registration before testing in another host.
This is found at: root/user/username/library/preferences as a PLIST
This should be deleted before testing in another host.

I do not own a Mac so i could not check this myself.

I checked, and noticed some issues with the installer in Mac OS X, as reported. Don't know exactly in what way this could have influence. Regarding the location of the PLIST, in my system I wasn't able to locate it, at first sight. If someone has the exact name of the file, please post it here.

Are you sure that's the one because I deleted that file but they are still registered?

Just wanted to mention, I wanted to see if it does the same thing in Reaper. I just checked, and it has the same issue.

I asked for some more infos.

So far from what Daniel and the testers found the Registration with the Waldor fEdition 32-bit VST2 plugins in OSX seem to work properly.

There are several - search for waldorf and its the one called de.waldorfmusic.waldorf-edition.plist. However I deleted it and my plugins are still registered so maybe there is another?

OK found another in library/preferences - I guess the user folder is only valid if you installed to a user account not for all users - however deleted that plist too and they are still registered (well they don't ask for a serial so I assume they are - hard to tell otherwise) - so not sure how to get them back to an unregistered state so I can try entering the serial again.

I look forward to see Nave, but since I'm new to it (I don't do mobile apps) how do you position it regards the recently launched Serum and Codex?
