Sheeesh..
Well, in this case it's an embittered forum member employing a bit of poetic license for dramatic effect.
Actually " "...biggest change to your music making" was very much what the Home page said.

So, I have no idea what you're talking about. That was the initial slaes pitch for Reason 8.

The Propellerhead forum right now has gone crazy. People fighting etc.

Even many of the die-hards aren't saying a damn word because even they know Props messed up with this one.

I'm liking the "I use Kong much more now".....You? What, in the last 3 days? Gee dude, exaggerating a little bit? I'm sure you've clocked LOTS of hours now with Kong that you never had before in the last 3 days, right?

I see 3 people here making lemonade out of lemons. Good for you. But don't blow smoke.

Someone must have been tokin' the weed to come up with the "biggest change" thing.

And, yes, nothing that great happening here....

Sorry dude, you can't wiggle your way out of this one. You specifically posted this quote twice:

"This is the biggest change to your music making since.....well, ever!"

While I completely agree that advertising frequently goes over the top in their product hype, you still haven't provided a source to it on Propellerheads' website.

It not there anymore. Since you insist on being extremely childish about the whole thing...

You do know who Hydlide is right? He's repeating it as well.

You're engaging in some bullshit kiddie game of of "show me, show me!" WHEN ITS BEEN AROUND SINCE THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF REASON 8, Tronam.

Quit trying to prove something wrong simply because it puts a very bad taste in your mouth.

R8 has vastly improved workflow, so yes, arguably the biggest change for Reason users that actually produces music.

Yep. Right under the September posting in fact.

Can't escape that one.

Well, I might say yes, but, is it REALLY the biggest change? It seems a bit forced that... :?

What puts a bad taste in my mouth is perpetual rudderless negativity.

Still not there, but they do say:

"The most radical rethinking of Reason's workflow since, well, ever."

or

"Reason 8 will redefine how you make music."

I did find a cached front page ad:

"The biggest change to your music making since... well.. Reason!"

All of these are targeting Reason users. Exaggerated? Probably and certainly for me. But some users might actually feel that way, especially those who load tons of samples into their projects.

Let's find out!
Maybe it's REALLY only the 2nd biggest, or 3rd!
Excruciating!!!

Well, let me put it this way. I have been using Reason since Reason5/Record 5 days and really does seem, to me here, to be an awful stretch to claim it to be that big of a change.

It is that kind of approach that galls me. I worked in marketing for quite some years and I made it the practice that anyone under me understood our product. Not just a few pointers and off we go. :?

Yeah. I still haven't upgraded, but I did spend enough time with it in beta to notice how slightly antiquated it made R7 feel after a couple of weeks. Importing audio feels especially archaic in it now, so I do miss how simple it is in R8 to drag sound files in from the browser or anywhere in the OS. Maybe the transition was easier for me after years of using Ableton Live. Some people in the forums are downright crushed by these changes though.

See...bro?

I wasn't lying, or making that up. I'm glad you found that cached page which is more detective work than I have the means for right now, so you just won big points with me (not that it matters to you) for posting it.

I knew I saw it there.

+1, though patch browsing still feels really odd under my hand. If I know what I want it seems to get me there quicker, if I just want to browse... Not so much. The rex thing also concerns me during beta, not sure on the release ver but I suppose no change.

I know some people not happy w the amp models but I am honestly surprised how good they sound from get go. I hope they patch back up some of the stuff soon.

Oh and the damn device icons, I won't put hopes on it but maybe we can turn it off sometime... Looking cute doesn't do jack when u start having more than couple RE

(Since this is obviously directed at me...) Mr. Cusenza, seriously man.. if anyone is blowing smoke - it's you. I know you've always had a penchant for the melodramatic, but come on...

Yes their marketing is over the top, but for a guy who seems to loath the company and the product so much, you sure do spend a lot of energy blowing your own smoke.

Why is that?

I'm legitimately curious.
