Just on the last page... unlikely... so no, not my word

"I will continue to maintain and update the P900 but huge expansions and/or a port are looking unlikely at this point."
Yes. I remember he even planned something like build your own GUI, Modules etc. but that was too big and seems cancelled too (maybe i misunderstood it).
Then there was a sample module which might be added.....not sure about it too.
I can understand that since it seems a niche product as a side project from a one man show.
But sometimes it´s just sad because it´t too good to be not a full time project :D
If i win the lottery i will donate him a bunch :)
I wish he even would create some VCV rack modules.....
I mean i like ACE, Bazille, VCV, Reaktor etc. but i can´t get these sounds out of them.
The closest would be indeed the Model 15 app (which has even some pro over P900 like a great delay which can be modulated at audio rate too and MPE support) but i still find P900 the better Moog than Moog´s app itself and it has up to 8 voices, more modules and just more balls.
Edit: Maybe the OP should change the thread name to "Mac only".

Sorry, but i can´t stop to play with this synth. Really my favorite filters (especially driven) from all my synths.
Here some super fat driven state variable filter. Same patch played as single notes, as arp and a faster arp while automating the frequency trough about 8 octaves (of course it has a wider range). And it was still tame here :hihi:

Wow. I've never heard sounds that good out of Softube modular.

Well, it figures what's probably the best sounding synth out there won't be available to Windows users. First Alchemy 2, now this.

Oh well, such is life. Not gonna kill myself over it.

Sorry guys, then i better don‘t post the really wild things.
But it can also be very mellow and soft if you want.
I mean he said „unlikely“, not never.
But for those who are on mac i will still post something here and there and the presets too if i finish them (as AU presets).
But i‘m sure there are some great windows only tools as well like there are some great iOS only synths as well (i really love Zeeon, closest to P900 for that gnarly and snappy filter sounds).
At least for me beside Logic another reason i will stay with macOS for a while.

post away...

I do wish it was also VST, and not just AU... cannot use it in Bitwig

Very nice demo!

BTW, the output drive is per-voice, affected by each voice's amp envelope, before summing.

So true!
Lucky me working on iMac and LogicPro :D

That explains why it sounds so good, even when play it polyphonic.
I see in the manual that there are 2 different forms of saturation, class A/B and class A. While i don´t really know exactly what they do i really find P900 has the most beautiful saturation EVER. Especially with class A and some filter resonance i get that sound from the demo and it adds some unexpected and wonderful harmonics (i use it for pads as well).
What i like about it is that while it can sound very gnarly, mumbly and even brutal it still sounds so organic and not too distorted like with many other distortions.
What kind of saturation is it? If i might ask. I can get close to the class A/B saturation in other synths but that class A effect is pretty unique too me. Almost like a wavefolder but better in many ways.
That it is polyphonic indeed explains that it sound so good too with many voices even. And it´s very dynamic too due to the voice amp envelopes.
Whatever you do. I wish you consider it for the future to create more modules, synths, FX....whatever.
P900 is just stunning in every way and some modules would be even worth to be a standalone FX like the plate reverb which is the best i heard yet (including most of my reverb plug-ins) and the saturation. The sequencer is another brilliant thing which i just began to explore more in depth.
While there are many fantastic circuit emulations out there and every synth has pro and contra, i can´t remember a synth i played with where i think every time i hear a real analog synth and FX and it react to changes and modulations like it is alive :D
Hell, call me a fanboy....i am in this case but normally i´m not too euphoric about synths which emulate old analog circuits. It can be really heavy on cpu of course but it´s worth it.
It´s also the synth with the most fluid GUI. It seems the metal (what about metal 2?) seems to work great with mac devices.
As egoist it´s of course nice to have a tool not so many people might have and windows, linux and iOS users might never get :hihi: .....sorry, couldn´t resist 8)

Thank you very much, Cinebient! I'm hugely appreciative of your enthusiasm for the P900.

The class A and A/B drive options are two very different (cascaded) tube distortion algorithms. I spent lot of time trying out and listening to different types of distortion algorithms and these sounded best to me. The plate reverb is an implementation of a Lexicon-style algorithm for which there is a white paper on out there; it has that topology with enhancements discussed in the paper and is also heavily tweaked :)

You'd have even more enthusiasts for P900 if it were ported to Windows. :P

Why not subcontract the port, get another team member or something?

Interesting idea...
Can be done on a kind of revenue sharing scheme or something other creative procedure.

One of my favorite combo is Spectrasonics Keyscape and P900 since they reacts both so nice to velocity changes while playing slightly randomized arps.
Here a 6 layer combo (3 X Keyscape and 3 X P900) played with live input into the arps (just used my macbook keyboard as midi input with fixed velocity here).
It´s one of my favorite own Logic performance instruments (via stacked track and then played as one instrument). I have to try something out with my Seaboard Rise (using an instance per channel) if i have time.
