Hi guys, the wait is over SynthMaster 3 can now read SynthMaster 2 presets. It's been a challenging task. I tested with all 1995 SM2 factory presets and also hundreds of expansion presets.

Known issues with loading SM2 presets:

1. I haven't tested loading SM2 presets into layers yet. Global FX complicates things here.
2. Presets that feature 2D Envelopes or "inside" filter distortion will not sound the same as I removed those features from SynthMaster 3.
3. SynthMaster 3 does not come with SynthMaster One or SynthMaster 2 presets. If they are installed in your system, SynthMaster 3 will see them.
4. Some presets throw "missing waveforms" warning. I will work on this.

Here's the changelog for revision 14731:

1. NEW: SynthMaster 3 can now load SynthMaster 2 presets
2. FIX: Popup tooltip shows over the control rectangle
3. FIX: When engine quality is higher than draft, VAnalog oscillator volume drops down proportional to oversample ratio
4. FIX: VST2 version of SynthMaster 3 does not receive MIDI input when run inside VSTHost
5. FIX: Osc Sync doesn't work correctly for basic/vector/additive oscillators
6. FIX: Listbox scroll wheel direction is incorrect
7. FIX: Listbox doesn't scroll to the last item

Check for updates inside the plugin to download the latest update.

I think the 'fix' here is a problem, it now scrolls the opposite way in the browser, to how the parameter scrolling works, 'reverse mouse wheel' just swaps which way is which, but doesn't fix them both to be the same.

I see. So the real problem is the listbox scroll behavior between Windows and MacOS, they are totally opposite. I will see what I can do as a fix.

Hi, playing with SM3 again, so much fun! Will add soon some reports to the table...

How do I make a sound monophonic (a bass), but still using unison per osc? Can't find any option, must be blind

Hi guys, we have a new update for SynthMaster 3 (rev 14768). Please check for updates inside the plugin, or goto the user area at: https://www.synthmaster.com/userarea.aspx

I can confidently say that this version is pretty stable regarding loading SM1/SM2 presets. I only got crashes in 6 presets out of 6500 (I noted down their names so those issues will be fixed in the next update)

Here's the changelog:

1. NEW: Added preview preset feature for presets that have audio previews in ogg format (for SynthMaster One and SynthMaster 2 presets only so far)
2. NEW: Redesigned the preset browser screen, added product filter to filter between SynthMaster One , SynthMaster 2 and SynthMaster 3 presets
3. NEW: Added a brickwall limiter to the master output of SynthMaster 3 which can be set per preset or globally
4. NEW: Users can now import sfz multi-sample definitions when creating a new multi-sample
4. FIX: When focus is not on the plugin view and users clicks on the plugin view back again to change the focus, textboxes receive focus automatically which might cause issues
5. FIX: When FX Bus 1 or 2 has insert effects but no inputs, SynthMaster 3 might generate slowly increasing feedback noise
6. FIX: When a keyscaler modulation source is added to a preset, SynthMaster 3 might crash
7. FIX: SynthMaster 2 presets that have global lfos as both modulation sources and targets might not load correctly and cause SynthMaster3 to crash
8. FIX: SynthMaster 3 might crash the DAW when exiting
9. FIX: When user selects a tree view node to filter by instrument category, then closes and reopens the plugin window, SynthMaster 3 crashes
