extract files with winrar, don't just double click it, go to "extract files"
Thanks, although now I'm not getting any sound.

I'll get it figured out, eventually. ^^;

(using FL Studio 7)

iirc the vx7 beta4 demo is exactly that, a demo i.e. patch saving is disabled either through the internal patch system, as an fxp/fxb, or along with a host project... at least I haven't managed to do it, please correct me if I'm wrong.
It's a pity as the synth sounds quite decent and reads most DX7 patches that I've thrown at it, some of them better than Hexter... but I'm afraid that at this point it's abandonware.
The mind boggles.

Has anyone ever seen who the developer is? I wonder if they would be willing to provide the source code to anyone who wanted to continue development?

I Don't think I would abandon a FREE DX7 even know it only Plays/Loads the Factory Presets? Why not just sample the sounds and then toss the Synth? :shrug: 8)

It's a false positive caused by your trojan catching software. There's nothing but the dll and a read me in the zip and both are absolutely safe. I see people warning about possible trojans when downloading VSTs quite often on this site but I've never (yet!) come across one that was actually dangerous. ;)
