+1

I was able to get 1 tremor and 4 drops on one track with no problems. 256 sample latency, old echo layla24 interface. About what I expect for this type of plugin really. More reasonable settings seemed to use less CPU.
What oversampling setting do you use in The Drop? I wonder if people realize that through the menus you can change oversampling, default is 0 but I think you should crank it up at least to 2 for real time use.
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

I left everything except what I mentioned on the default. With 2x oversampling I was able to get 2 reliably, 3 with very minor pops/crackles (probably no pops/crackles in Live - I have it up in S1 which pops/crackles more easily than other daws in my experience).

Edit to add that I disengaged env1, env2, and ext FM on all instances since I was not using those features, and that dropped the CPU meter a bit in Task Manager and got rid of the pops/crackles with 3 2x oversampling Drops. So, make sure to turn those off when you're not using them, as it's all on by default.

A quick audio demo: http://soundcloud.com/bronto-scorpio/th ... st-contact
This is just a simple Zebra saw through the 4 pole LP of The Drop.
Nothing too serious! I just quickly recorded my initial impressions :)

There's a bug when using the scroll-wheel - no matter what way you roll your wheel, the value of a knob increases. (windows 32 bit version)

Great filter!

Great filter!
I am experiencing the same thing. Scroll-wheel works this way in the Glue too.

The Drop - Makes ugly sounds beautiful

Cool, what synth is that?

This sounds absolutely beautiful. I don't think I've ever heard anything like this from software.

It's bitter sweet for me, all it does is make me want a full fledged synth with these filters.

My dream: A Nord G2 style synth with this filter

Speaking of the UI it would also be nice if alt would toggle between fine and coarse resolutions even while dragging, rather than selecting a state at the time of the click.

Getting some nice compression effects with the envelope. :)

Has Andy stated what other filters are coming with the full release?

The OSCs are from 3x OSC in FL Studio.

No keyboard modifiers please - it would be better if fine control was possible without having to stop playing (eg the way Fabfilter or Uhbik do it is better)

Amazing ITB filter !

I tested it yesterday next to my MS20 Rev 1 , but I can't say The Drop will be able to replace the real thing ..
The difference is still too big and probably will be for the next years to come.

It would be interesting to have a Yamaha CS15/CS30 flavor (one of my favorite filters).

I'm gonna buy it regardless though ...

I just experimented with that too! Some really nice pumping effects!

Well next to my ms10 filter I don't think the difference is so big ... Granted the ms-10 filter screams a bit more with full resonance, but afaik ms-10 filter is a bit more aggressive than the ms20 filter.
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool
