seriously guys, you don't see why tone2 threads always end up the same way.
Max, I am sorry you can't convince me those drums are dry.....
if the loops weren't processed fine, then the sounds themselves are processed, and I mean beyond the ghost notes....
I am done with this drums though.
don't appreciate the troll and stupid insinuations, but I am a big boy.
good luck

zvenx, my friend... believe me: the drums are dry!!!
My apologize for the troll and stupid, it was ironic but, come on try to see this thing from my point of view. Why you decided to talk about the drums? This thing is funny
Ok, I'll come back to my role of a politically correct person

Oh, you're one of those - the patronising smugness - BUT IRONIC
Honestly, is there anyone out there working/advertising for Tone2 other than Bastiaan who isn't socially inept?

Well if the trolls here at KVR, the only place btw that all Tone2 products get trolled, learned to shut up once in a while, the threads could be for those people who want to discuss things without the BS.
And yes, it's always the same names saying the same rubbish.

Or you could go to the official Tone2 forums - http://www.tone2.org/forum/

What do you mean with loop? An audio sample you got from somewhere, or did you manually design all the hits in a (drum)synth without any effects used and sequence them to your own "loop"?MaxSynths wrote: BTW the loop IS dry.

MaxSynths wrote:Are you serious guys? That's why sometimes people thinks that this forum has a relevant troll activity. We are talking about synthesizers and the conversation now is focused on the drum loop used in a demo song? There are only two possible explanations: trolling or stupidity.
Hey, better than a 40 page Tone2 thread about malware and secret installs, right?
I think this thread is actually shows a big update to KvRs epic Tone2 trolling habit. Now its more personal, and not related to the actual synth or dev.
I was one of the trolls back "those days". It was valid. I really dont get most of the bitches in this thread though. It is obviously coming from different places.
Its amazing that this thread survived and is still a great resource for this new synth.
So now we fight about the 'sheen'.
Which, is actually something Tone2 uses to advertise with, uses a certain term for, and have ported out to an fx unit.
Has this thread already considered that the 'psychoacoustic' mojo bullshit whatever it is, is exactly what you are all hearing? I have not seen that just plainly stated.
I actually agree that Tone2, as a company, has 'a sound'. I think it is subtle, and I think the synths are fully capable of creating any sound, with or without the sheen, but since it doesnt particularly bother me, I always blamed it on the psychoacoustic shit.
Doesnt it make a lot of sense since this 'thing' is apparently a part of a number of their synths?

Well I dont have any audio examples really, but I have been kicking this one around.
I think its fantastic. Got some growling with Maul over it..
Once I get some time with it, it might be my fave from Tone2. (Although I have barely touched Saurus. osiris' comment above is gonna make me hit it up again...)
That said, one thing is kind of a thorn-
The combination of the small matrix and no visual feedback on routings can get annoying.
I think possibly if one or the other was somehow helped the workflow would be greatly improved. Of course, with time it might get easier to deal with.

As already mentioned today i have created waveforms with filter responses of Diva now.
i now tried to recreate one of my presets for Diva with Rayblaster using the proper waveform with the filter response.
Here are two audio demos with the Diva and the Rayblaster presets, with no names so you could guess yourself:
*edited* diva demo
Cosy Jupiter Pad 1 Demo 2
UPDATE: Demo 2 is from Rayblaster.
In both cases no external FXs have been added.
This is the first try to replicate the preset so please don't kill me when it's not 100% correct...
The question is more how good is the quality of Rayblaster in comparison to the original synth from the waveform of the filter response.
