Forced to use a AU to VST adapter.
Can you please explain the AU to VST adapter -what is it called and how do you install it so you can use VSTs in Logic?

I use Kushview Elements as it's free.

Thanks guys. Good to know in case I can no longer use the AU version (so far it works fine here on Logic Pro X 10.4.8 and MacOS 10.13.6).

Does anyone know of when this is going to be made open source? I thought I read somewhere that the dev was going to do that.

It looks like that's still the plan, but the developer is totally unfamiliar with what exactly such a process involves and what it means for his rights and responsibilities. For that reason (and maybe some other reasons he hasn't stated outright) he's been approaching this plan with extreme caution. Unfortunately he was already very time-constrained. You might still have a long wait ahead of you.
I hate signatures too.

Thanks for the update.

I wonder if he could sell the code to a company like Roland or Arturia?

FIFY
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Post

He could, but I don't think he will since that's not his intention.

Post

I wish he would. He deserves a payout for all of his work.

And I would gladly pay a stable company like Arturia to ensure its long life and maintenance.

And it would finally move forward.

TBH I wouldn't like to see Arturia take it because it's then going to get another one of their overly bloated GUIs and be way more CPU intensive for whatever reason. :)

Post

I would be surprised if Arturia don't already have a JX8P/JX10 in development - they seem to be getting to most of the well regarded vintage polys...
