I have a question to refx! How many years does it take to get released from the "You have been banned from opening any more (support) tickets" prison? Or is this a lifetime sentence?

No, I think it's channel pressure only.User3 wrote: Sat Oct 04, 2025 10:28 pm Are Nexus 5 and its presets compatible with polyphonic aftertouch or not?

Please upgrade to 5.3.22. There is now a paste option that does what you want.Teksonik wrote: Mon Sep 01, 2025 4:40 pmIt is the way I use Nexus and every other multi-layer synth I own. That's the great thing about a flexible architecture. Agreed! int sawtooth, mix 100%, tweak the attack = glorious (almost) endless rich pad.
Here's the new features in 5.3.22
Added void verb
Folders in the librarian can now be re-ordered
Add mute/solo buttons to the oscillator header buttons
Added mod destinations for each trancegate.
Amazing how this synth and the customer experience has been transformed in the last few years - thanks to all at refx.

It’s a combo isn’t it? The company’s decisions over direction and great folk on board like Roland to help carry it forward.
Some have issues with them over the years but they’ve been helpful to me, including MH.

I've been there longer than that. Officially I started in 2018, but in a very limited role. That increased over time until I'm almost full time now. Marc does most of the DSP code, I do mostly user interface.Caine123 wrote: Sat Oct 11, 2025 8:55 am yeah seems FigBug is a great addition to the team, afaik he joined about 2 years ago? thanks for the infos, much appreciated the interactions here and updating Nexus. (imma update some patch infos, im nearly done where i found 3-4 differences, so less than i thought as some seem to be effected differently as maybe some FX modules changed the sound slightly. i did dry A/B comparisons and one had the ARP on but not when i initialized the patch it was loaded in N2 withtout the ARP ON and in N5 with ARP ON).FigBug wrote: Sat Oct 11, 2025 4:32 pmI've been there longer than that. There is a breaking change with the arp and swing. The arp swing used to be a nasty hack, that instead of delaying the midi note on / off, it still triggered each layer on time, but just applied a delay to each oscillator. This did some weird things if you cranked up the swing and down the gate.Caine123 wrote: Sat Oct 11, 2025 4:47 pm thanks for the infos, much appreciated the interactions here and updating Nexus. There shouldn't been any changes to any of the effects recently.

I'm just waking up to how this is no longer a rompler, and how it compares favorably to a synth like Serum 2, with a great arp/seq. Could someone tell me if the arp/seq can work separately for each layer individually (the way Omnisphere's can), or just for all the layers combined? Thanks!
