Per Roland, the instruments you claim are just the instruments themselves and don’t include any sound packs even if they are promo-ing the Total versions of those instruments.

It's just the instrument. Since you have an ultimate sub If there are presets you like change them ever so slightly and save them as a new preset with a new name and bam they will still workbraincandy wrote: Fri Aug 09, 2024 12:49 am I have Play4 Life Ultimate which gives me two instruments. If I claim one, will it be the "Total" version of the instrument that is currently being promoted such as Total D50 with six sound packs or will it just be the instrument itself with no sound packs? I reached out to Roland to ask but haven't heard back in a few days.

I have the D-50 installed and I counted 384 presets. I don't have the extra soundbanks from Total D-50 or a subscription, but I can't remember if I had imported Sysex stuff from anywhere else, such as the Bobby Blues site.

If you need more, I'll happily vouch for the Linear Galaxy and Universe sound banks. I absolutely love these for spacey pads.

IIRC they give you all the packs for a certain amount of time with Ultimate, and then you lose access to them, unless you keep paying into the Ultimate payment plan (or you pay for each preset pack). I had them all at one point and then eventually when the Ultimate part of it ran out, those were gone. But at least the few projects I had used them in still load back in to the D-50 plugin.braincandy wrote: Fri Aug 09, 2024 12:49 am I have Play4 Life Ultimate which gives me two instruments. One I liked (still do actually) is called "Glorius" and it's in the Beyond Fantasia bank. It’s pretty basic, but sounds just like a synth in a song I was trying to replicate.

Hey spacepluik! We offer Play 4 Life twice a year, once in early summer and again in the fall. So it's not too much longer until we will offer it again.spacepluk wrote: Fri Aug 09, 2024 5:20 am I’d actually get a year of Ultimate if they do another Play 4 Life offer like that. My trial ended and I’m sad heheh

New Synths for the Roland Cloud? That's hilarious. They will however have some more bumping fresh sound packsSLiC wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 5:37 pmWill there be any new synths for those of us who already own all the synths they currently want?Jon at Roland wrote: Mon Aug 12, 2024 5:35 pmHey spacepluik! (a) There is a Play4Life Offer on
(b) There is anything on Roland Cloud that I want and don't already own
It's (b) that seems to be the issue.

I can't remember if this has already been discussed, but is there a way to load the JD-800 extra patches collections (like Don Solaris) into Zenology's JD-800 model expansion?

Short of copying parameter values manually I'm not aware of any tool to import things from the VST/AU version into the Zenology version (or vice versa).
Unlike the D50, neither allows importing the original hardware midi data either. They might have an internal Roland tool, but nothing they'd give us. I still think the only reason they added import ability, for the D50, is because Beely did a sysex to bin conversion tool first.

no more like it is an adaption of the VSynth/VariOS V-Cards that were sysex/pg1000 compatible, so the legendary version is supporting that as well.
I have 100s of OG D50 banks (Cult of D50) loaded as presetbank inside the legendary version
