Komplete 13, ladies and gents

Too bad (actually good!) I already have the Komplete 13 Ultimate Collector's Edition. No excitement for this year's summer sale.

, luckily I got it for 50% off last year only when I bought K12U CE Upgrade, which was eligible for free K13U CE Upgrade with the grace period.

That's how I got K13 Ultimate. If they do that for 14 again I might upgrade to CE that way.

Yeah, we would need to wait for June 2023.

But so far, the new stuff they have added post K13 release isn't very appealing. If am sure there would be something big planned for K14. They usually add a major version of their flagship product with every Komplete version. Recently, Reaktor 6, Kontakt 6, Massive X (considering it as a successor) Guitar Rig Pro 6... next might be Absynth 6?!

Since Massive has had its successor, the only flagship products left for major overhaul are Battery 4, Absynth 5 and FM8.

If it's Battery 5 or Absynth 6, I'd be interested.

Of course, there is VST3 support, scalable GUI, Komplete Kontrol software enhancements, etc. too. It would be great if with K14 they at least give us all the major Reaktor synths as standalone VST3 synths (like Super 8 R2) and scalable GUI for all plugins (currently only a few have it). Easier said than done, but let's keep the hopes alive.

Still fighting with myself whether Super 8 and Noire are worth 99 € for me. I guess not. Might rather wait what Komplete 14 will bring next year.

Yeah, not really. But you do get Guitar Rig 6 Pro as well unless you are not interested in it. And a few other things too. Also, perhaps it would be cheaper if you find a way to buy it in USD and possibly also avoid any VAT.

Think I'll pass for now, and see next year.

Absynth 6 would be awesome! Maybe an update to FM8..? I don't mind not having to spend money on Komplete products until 2023. It's nice not being tempted even a little bit right now.

Noire is a beautiful sampled piano and worth that alone if you want a beautiful sampled piano. Super 8 is OK. For me it would be worth it if I didn't have both already. its one reason I'm still on Komplete 12.

There have been updates since the release of K13 and you probably won't know at the time of installation which titles are affected.

So be prepared to download some GBs nevertheless. But you will save a lot of download time for those which didn't get an update...

thanks, I've just managed to download around 200GB in less than 30 mins (using Native Access) which is all I really need from Komplete , so I figured out I don't really need the box.

I just upgraded from K11. I mainly wanted Noire and figured Super 8 is a nice included bonus. I kind of forget Massive X is also part of it, so I will need to check that out as well. I'm thrilled to have Noire.

The expansion packs and Play Series are also a new concept to me. They came out after K11. I don't really understand what those are yet but figure I'll try out a few and probably find some useful stuff somewhere in there.

Oh right, Noir has pretty much become my default piano. Coming to think of it, K13 was a pretty sweet upgrade.

Upgrading from K11 is good stuff. Also check out the Crush Pack, and the Mod Pack, which are new for you as well, I think.

I updated to K13, but was falling pretty far behind in updates, so there's a fair amount of new stuff for me.
