That's kind. I'll think about it. :tu:

It’s not going anywhere anytime soon, so no pressure!

Decided I would go with the MIDI Expression Quattro and three Nektar NX-P 8)

With the FBV I found myself using the expression pedal more often than not, and occasionally wishing for more than one. I used the switches much less (never all 4, and 3 only once). I figure I can assign a pedal to a toggle switch in Bitwig easily enough anyway, the NX-P is cheaper than most dedicated footswitches, and 3 of them is about the same floor space as the FBV. I'll still have an open port to add a fourth, or a single or dual footswitch, if the desire strikes me later.

I still need to look at adding pedals. NI S88 MK3 has support for 3 pedals but I haven’t added any yet.

The reason I had the FBV was because I used it with Kore 2. That was a very fun setup, but since then and since adding Push with Live, I haven’t bothered getting anything else.

Dont overlook the Lehle dual expression pedal, not cheap, but super high quality.

I personally don't see a need for super high quality in this case, "cheap and good enough" was the goal. (If I were gigging with it maybe I'd want something with at least the appearance of more toughness.)

I was simultaneously surprised at how inexpensive the Nektar pedals are (considering that nobody says they're bad), and how few cheap options there were for expession-pedal-to-MIDI converters that don't have horrible reviews and technical issues. I kinda expected it'd be the other way around.

I get it, i just like nice stuff i guess. tbh i use
my obne mini expression pedals more than the lehle, as they come up useful more often.

That's nice to hear. ;)

Nektar is partly owned by our manufacturer. As a result it's easier for us to raise a fuss when there is an issue and we can charge a little less. We also make the expression pedals under a few other brands and common changes to the NX-P have also improved the pedals sold under our competitor's brands.

The expression pedals are simple, so there isn't much that can go wrong. A little maintenance can help extend the life... for example, just moving the pedal through it's full range from time to time, when it's not in regular use can keep those pedals working for years (I generally make the same suggestion about pitch/mod wheels). I've been using the same NX-P with my P6 at home for the almost 8-years.

NX-P is great for the studio. I prefer a Mission EP-1 or a Boss FV-500L for live use. They have metal housing, so more durable.

You should pitch a ruggedised 'tour' version at them, and volunteer to take lots home to test. :)
An idiot on Set Theory:

I have! We were supposed to release a few accessories for Pacer which used the same folded sheet metal construction. I still hope they will see the light of day. Maybe when we do Pacer mk2.

Found a good deal for a new Rene v2 and put my order in.

Should be a fun week with Erbe-Verb, DXG, Ch.svr & Rene v2 all arriving this week.

Well, fun except for rearranging the case (but sometimes, that can be fun too).

For only $1,000,000 you can have your very own, but act fast. There are only two available.

(Sunglasses and white cane sold separately.) :hihi:

I have to wonder, is it actually any brighter than the blue LEDs on Mini Slew?

Tymp Legio - First Noise Engineering module.

I found a great deal on an older Legio module, but the plan is to load up Tymp Legio firmware.

I wanted some drums in 6hp. I almost bought Erica Synths Pico Drums 2 x2, but the Tymp Legio looks more fun with the advantage of having swappable firmware if I want something different later.

The downside is no CV input for the drum type. Its a manual 3-way switch between kick/tom, snare and hats/cowbell. Syntakt and Push 3 will most often be the drum source, but I wanted something as a dedicated drum sound, even temporarily and this should do it.
