First off, I think what happened yesterday was a nightmare, and I have much sympathy for the families of the victims and the injured.
On the topic of the soundest, I'm lucky enough to be on the beta team, and have been playing with the collection for a day. IT'S INCREDIBLE.
INCREDIBLE.
BUY IT, DON'T THINK TWICE.
Trust me. It's as good as it gets, seriously. Wow. OK, enough for now.

Either way, pretty amazing that it was used in that movie.Urs wrote:We listened to "The End" and I'd rather ask Hans again if it's really 100% Zeebs. He told me he was working on a Zeebs only piece called The End, but maybe he added real violins on the way.spektralisk wrote:My suggestion for ZebraHZ box cover: Hans Zimmer in Batman outfit riding a zebra .
It's amazing that "The End" was done exclusively in this. I wish I could get it right now. Just bought too much of other stuff lately.
I'm not sure if Zebra can do all this, but if...![]()
It's not in the movie btw., it's a bonus track on the deluxe soundtrack.

Wasn't sure if we were allowed to talk about them.. but I can only second what Ned has said.
This is the first synth soundset that has really floored me. This is an entirely new and higher level of sound design.
Well designed.. thought out.. and created as a whole. I think I'm going to learn much on synthesis just by dissecting many of these patches. They are so expressive and alive. My text can't really explain that.. you will have to try for yourselves.
The other thing that has impressed me is every sound I've tried in the set so far sits well in a mix.. largely plug and run. And much of the sounds can be used in other genres besides cinematic film styles...
The percussion and arps are my favorite.. extensive use of the MSEGs

After Zebra-HZ is released, it will be great if we can have HZ answer user questions. For e.g. did he have some specific sound/idea in mind for the score? why he made certain requests for modifications and more pertinently how those changes helped him with his score!

Oh, I got the deluxe edition, so it's on there. I'm going to listen to the album front to back. I'll start as soon as I'm done lunch.Hellfog wrote:You can buy "The End" on iTunes.Esgalachoir wrote:I couldn't wait till after I saw the movie. I just bought the soundtrack...I'm soo weak!!![]()

By the way, the deluxe edition has a few words from Nolan on Hans in a nifty little digital booklet, and he's pretty quotable.

There'll be a bit of information coming with the download and inside the patch info window.wiimixes wrote:After Zebra-HZ is released, it will be great if we can have HZ answer user questions. Howard might be able to answer some questions, but HZ and him are going to work on the next project shortly.

If I understand correctly.
For someone who does not have zebra, but wants the ZebraHZ, they would need to buy zebra + the zebra HZ...
is this correct?

Yes. ZebraHZ is actually more than just Zebra, so selling it separately wouldn't be fair for Zebra users... unless we restricted it to play just those sounds (which we contemplated, but then rejected as too much work right now)dusted william wrote:If I understand correctly.

No, I think we never did an intro price for soundsets.dusted william wrote:Is the 99 dollar price an intro price?
