I bothered to learn how to use all the sequencer functionality, but it doesn't seem to respond to midi on the trigger channel, and the midi control unlock has yet to work for me. The author has crippled their own software to the point that it is unusable, to me at least. Even if it did work, I feel icky about using something with malicious code knowingly added. I really do like the sound, the funny tiny interface, and the button combos, really everything else, but man... making something cool and then making it not work on purpose is nasty.
Edit: I ended up getting it to work, just had a MIDI issue. I still feel a little dirty using something written this way though. Maybe it's time to grab a hardware version.

It would be nice if the developer open sourced the code so that someone can keep the binaries up to date with the new libraries as they come out. It would give it a new lease on life.

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

there are no plans
there was a certain attempt tho, but it failed... more here: viewtopic.php?t=537480
basically i need a faster CPU
if there's anything close to a "plan" then that would be for "attempt2"

late to the party, i still want to congratulate the host. I love faithful replicas of instruments, and this one is great. And I was surprised to find all the synth knobs mapped to controls in my old beh umx-49 midi controller. Neat.
My only despair here is i cannot make it play in sync mode with Cakewalk, despite having tried a lot of combinations. The independent sequencer works fine, but if I try sync (for example, venom on a track tied to channel1, and a note painted on the piano roll on a midi track tied to channel16, give me no sound) ¿Any idea? tnx everybody.

Hello everyone, need help please, also have the host sync problem. I want to buy a Behringer td 3 soon so I got the Venom Vb.303 to practice programming. And so far everything went well yesterday and the VST is really fun and sounds very good. Use Reaper v7.33.
But as of today the VST simply no longer wants to play via Host Sync. I can still control and program it with my keyboard, but Run/Stop only works via Internal. I've already started a new project and created a track with a virtual instrument with Input: Midi: All, but it just doesn't want to play it via Host Sync anymore, what am I doing wrong?

kinda late but... see if the plugin is actually following the Host tempo (see the BPM display, and check whether it reacts when you change the tempo in your DAW), then ensure the sync mode is set to Host sync, and then in that mode, you're supposed to feed a sustained MIDI note (no matter which one) on the Trigger channel (see the top bar), this sustained note is used as a RUN signal and the sequencer will play. when you do that - take note whether the RUN LED is lit
also note that the plugin is mono (iirc it has a single audio channel, not stereo) and some DAW might not like this or may play it on the left channel, i don't know
