Roli Seaboard RISE

I though of that but I don't think that's the issue. There is still plenty of time to order a Seaboard after 21 November, claim the reward and then return it so this is not going to stop that. I suppose their conditions when you file the claim could also include a requirement to pay back the reward if you do return the Seaboard and they could perhaps check with the retailer if you have (or require them to provide such information), if privacy laws allow that, or they could just burden you with the legal and moral obligation and leave it at that.bradkvr wrote:"You may return your ROLI Hardware within 30 days of purchase for any reason."
I imagine they don't want people claiming rewards then returning the hardware.
Maybe they haven't finalized their talks with the various retailers yet and don't want to put up a potentially incomplete list since that would lead to an unfair advantage to those who are already on it.
But they should have completed all that before anouncing the offer. This is just as counter-productive as announcing a new and improved version of an existing product with the same or lower price as the original, whose sales will typically plummet in response to such an announcement.
My guess is that pretty much every 'regular' retailer that is already selling the Rise is going to be on that list, but I don't like to rely on guesses. I just sent an email to one of my favourite retailers to ask if they can guarantee that they will be on that list.

Or maybe, just maybe, this was done so that people will order from Roli direct instead of through some retailer. Seems a bit unlikely they won't make it on their own Qualified retailers list. That way the promotion would not cost them a thing on those units sold directly as I'm sure the reseller margin they give on their products exceeds the cash-back amount.

Of course there is, at least as far as the list of qualified retailers is concerned (the actual claim form indeed does not need to be live yet). If I buy one now I cannot know if my retailer will be on that list and if I will be eligible to the cash-back offer. That is pretty vital information from the first day of the campaign.bradkvr wrote:Roli does say you must wait 30 days after purchase before claiming your reward. No sense in having the claim site live until 30 days after the offer begins.
If you must wait 30 days after purchase (hadn't noticed that bit) that already takes care of the problem of people returning the product in most cases (except if there are any retailers which allow for longer return times, in which case they might not get on that list of Roli's), regardless of whether that list is already published or not. Although they would still have to check somehow if you didn't return the product, after all you will still have the original invoice even if you return it.
(EDIT: Clarification)

Thanks for the heads-up. One of my go-to retailers in the Netherlands, Bax-Shop, is on the list so that's great. Strangely KeyMusic is not shown on the page for the Netherlands but it is shown on the page for Belgium.K-Bee wrote:The retailers page is up

Just ordered my Rise 49, estimated 10 days delivery time. Also ordered a Walldorf Streichfett from them separately to tide me over, should have it by tomorrowTOYZ wrote:Bax-Shop had two in stock yesterday, all gone now.
Too bad the Streichfett won't respond to MPE or poly AT. Might have been nice to be able to modulate the 'Registration' through poly AT, although I'm not quite sure how useful that would be exactly.

Congratulations! That's great! I'm probably gonna order min this weekend. The only shop that has a danish affiliate (or in that area) is Gear4music so I'll have to use that. They have 6 in stock as I write this.TOYZ wrote:Just ordered my Rise 49, estimated 10 days delivery time. Congrats! I originally didn't want to order it until I'd had a chance to assemble my VAXmidi and see if that would satisfy my lust for a poly AT keyboard. However, many or perhaps all VAXmidi backers and buyers seem to be having problems with the assembly of their VAXmidi kit so mine is still in the box, unopened.K-Bee wrote:Ordered!!![]()
I've been wanting a poly AT keyboard for well over a decade so when this cashback offer came along, I could no longer resist, given that it's not clear when my VAXmidi will be assembled and working properly, if ever.
I've also been interested in continuous pitch control for a long time.I have a Doepfer R2M ribbon controller that I also wrote some pitch-rounding software for so I could use it like a monophonic Continuum and I have debated getting an actual Continuum so it will be very interesting to explore that aspect of the Rise as well.
Still waiting for my Streichfett stopgap to arrive today. If it doesn't get here soon (at the office) I might not be able to check it out until Monday

I was looking at the Continuum as well....until I realized what the price tag is. I just don't have that kind of money
- on top of that, it's a completely new instrument whereas the Rise is a sorta keyboard'ish one.

Anyone know how to download tracktion waveform? It's supposed to be included with seaboard blocks and rise. I have a seaboard block registered but no waveform download in my roli account.

It's supposed to show up in your account, but not as a download. Rather a voucher code and link to the right part of the tracktion website to enter the code and download from there.Echoes in the Attic wrote:Anyone know how to download tracktion waveform? It worked for me but it was quite a while ago now that I got it.

hi, you'll need to contact Roli. I had Dashoard, Equator, Strobe2, Bitwig 8 track and Tracktion Waveform in my Rise 25 account a couple of weeks back.
