This is by no means music. I wanted to make a signature sound like the THX Deep Note. So here is Deep Sweep. It's a P900 patch that is heavily processed. Extended bottom end is recommended.

I agree... I like the sound quality/character of P900 significantly more than Model 15...Cinebient wrote: But all i can say is that your synth blows Model 15 out of the water for me in terms of sounds and flexibility (beside MPE and that you can use Model 15 as FX) and even is more user friendly. But i guess it´s hard to compete with a name like Moog. I still think this would be a winner for iOS. I mean i would buy an iPad Pro 12.9" for this app alone. I often think i would like to use this on a great multi-touch screen. So i don´t think the market is saturated for such a great tool on iOS.
I even stumbled over P900 while searching for a Model 15 synth for my mac.....i found it and saw it is even better, lol.
I also found the GUI of Model 15 so annoying with the constant scrolling that I deleted it. In terms of ease of workflow, I much prefer working with P900 on Mac than Model 15 on iOS.

This synth has possibly the juiciest, thickest analog character on the planet. My jaw has dropped several times listening to the various demo tracks. I'm sure I could just sit there and sweep the filter back and forth and be entertained .. if only it were for Windows ..

Ouch....pdxindy wrote:Get a Mac
But there might be even one more awesome synth (ported from iOS) which will be mac only then......

Damn, i agree 100% here. One thing i like with Model 15 is the MPE. I use it also only on my iPhone 6S plus but with 3D touch you can play some expressive stuff on it since it anyway just have 4 voices. I really love the Animoog keys which you can set to a custom scale and that you can turn off the correction....means microtonal polyphonic bends and stuff. Also the midi options are better.pdxindy wrote:I agree... But in general i agree that the workflow otherwise is not so good for a touch screen with scrolling, no option to change more than one parameter at the same time on the GUI (beside the keyboard of course). Also it´s limited to one output per output like real hardware while P900 lets you use as many outputs as you like.
The biggest different is in the envelopes and filters. While Model 15 also can have some awesome subtones and great clicky sounds and crazy FX it doesn´t have such a great power in the low end if you crank up the resonance and P900 envelopes are more modeled to the snappy Minimoog ones rather than the original more tame from the Model 15.
I love the delay in Model 15 which makes a huge different if you remove it from most presets.
But yeah, P900 is the best thing since sliced samples....äähhh bread.

Here is an example for what i would call snappy envelopes (maybe others don´t see/hear it):
First you hear a simple preset just hold some single notes then i begin to change envelopes settings here and there while the sequence repeats. It also shows what impact the envelopes can have for this nice saturation (class A) i like.
Next time i try to do some mellow stuff

Phew, no problems in getting such snappy sounds from either Bazille or Repro-1/5

Maybe but i find the filters in P900 much better (maybe i´m more into the Moog sound).EvilDragon wrote:Phew, no problems in getting such snappy sounds from either Bazille or Repro-1/5
That was also just an example. This thing can do better for sure.
Of course Bazille and Repro are great synths too and i love them.
I still think the most snappy thing is Dagger and Zeeon but as we know everybody see/hear it a bit different.
I still stand for it that P900 is the best synth ever made in software

if it s a moog modular emu it s no suprise it s one of the juicest plug if it s well done, for me the hardware blow the overhyped minimoog and all the modern moog jokes, moog modular is the definition of good raw sound

Some slightly distorted pads....same sequence/chords every time just different octaves.
For sure (too) much drenched in reverb (but i love that plate reverb module too much).
Of course soundcloud sounds so crap and compressed that it is night and day but anyway....

Here a P900 fanfare (not really) on it. It can do nice brassy sounds as well of course.
