Max for live DOESN'T inspire confidence. The rest of it is fine.
The only "serious" issue I've ran into in bitwig is the CPU. It's not like S1 where there is jumping and spiking, but it runs out fast. Yes yes, there are endless workarounds.....just saying.

You seem to have CPU issues with multiple DAWs (I have seen you mention this issue in relation to S1, Fruity Loops and now CatWig) You have an i7 processor and loads of RAM yeshibidy wrote: The only "serious" issue I've ran into in bitwig is the CPU. Just possibly, maybe, perhaps the root cause is of your issue is OS / hardware / driver based and not related to any particular DAW ?
Why won't you delete this account as I have requested Ben ?

Yea his systems is odd. Also it's strange that he's been mentioning about how stable the software is on the OS which he doesn't actually installed the software on.RockinMillie wrote:You seem to have CPU issues with multiple DAWs

I read Instruments, Effects, Sound design, Market and Hosts forums. And most people don't have time to be in every forums and can't post 40k+ posts like you. Even then, do you think someone stalk you...?hibidy wrote:"why does tooneba stalk hibidy, is he cprezzzz?"

I'm curious, are there any Ableton users that have completely switched to Bitwig? Like a lot of people, i was waiting for version 2 before giving it a serious look but these prices at the moment are tempting.

I agree, I've demoed it recently, and I really like a lot it. With these prices it's a great time to jump on board.mutantdog wrote:I'm curious, are there any Ableton users that have completely switched to Bitwig? Since 1.1 the routing including side chaining is very slick. Modulation is quite fancy.
Deal breaker for me was the lack of AU support (Drumspillage is AU only) and I like the instruments in Suite more. Plus, reality kicked in and I figured I was doing just fine with Live, also seems a bit more efficient with CPU.
So no, I haven't switched yet, but I like where it is going. And I hope it will also drive Ableton to resolve some longstanding issues in Live.

I switched to BWS, at the beginning, from Live 9. I've been a Live user since 6.
I switched because Live became very unstable and I could not keep it running on my machine.
BWS was very stable but lacked many necessary features for me to use it effectively. I found it similar to Live's work flow so it melded fairly well with my process.
Since purchasing BWS I have added a slave system to my set-up and use VEP 5. Now, Live has become very stable again and BWS has become very unstable with recent developments (v1.1). I have reported some issues but have yet to get a response so I basically moved away from BWS and back to Live.
I think at some point BWS will be just right. I will have to wait for that.
In the meantime I do not feel I will update Live again. This may change depending on added features but I don't think Live can put in anything I will need that could entice me to spend that kind of money again.
If you buy BWS, and I think now is a good time to do so, you may run into problems, depending your system. It still has some hiccups and a ways to go to be complete, but it is getting there and I believe it will eventually.
If you have not yet, you should demo. It really is, IMHO, the ONLY way to know if it is right for you.

Huh, It became very unstable for you? What exactly is the problem and what email address did you use to report to support? I can't find any?dsan@mail.com wrote: Since purchasing BWS I have added a slave system to my set-up and use VEP 5.
