That's what I said ...
For what it's worth, your VU meter turned out much better than mine.
Thank you, but I didn't make the effort to do without the photograph, you did.
Folks, is this going to be a problem? Surely we're going to come up with knob files that are similar to each other. Do we have to worry about stepping on each others' toes?
Thank you to read my message as I wrote it... I can insure you I don't mind our "creations" look asame, as I said :
BTW, please feel free to compare our needles, yours seem to fly (not long enough). Take the best from each project, you are expressely allowed to :D

Best regards.
Arthur.

Hi Brok,

Hope I didn't write things a way they didn't meant to be read.
I repeat myself : I found it very amazing seeing our projects did look asame.

And hope anyone creating from one of my ideas will enjoy having less work.

PS : English is not my mother tongue and I may write things slightly differently than natives ... And this may become a problem. So please consider I am a happy living guy, anything I write is with a big smile :D on my face.

Best regards to all from France.

And not a word here or there to quote my name ... Rather strange, isn't it ?

advice : saying that you'd 'helped' him, and then saying that your name wasnt 'quoted' really doesnt sound like you were saying it was a coincidence at all...

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

At some point, projects people are working on are over-lap or be very similar. The number of people using knobman, hence the same set of tools, makes it inevitable. Certain decisions will be the same to optimize or achieve certain effects no matter how hard one might try there are only a certain number of options available.

The temptation will be to get upset but the person might be totally unaware to the other's existence or motive by a completely different s, perhaps they are not but even then unless you have release the full file they are only estimating what you have done. Its going to happen there is not way to avoid it...

Anyway the point is that it might be totally coincidence or not intended to steal anyone's fire. This will be especially true of favored hardware gadgets.

Hi folks,

I needed a realistic led for my project and did not find any satisfying ready-made examples, or way to build it.

So I took a picture and layered it onto larger metal circles.

Here is the result.

LedOffOn

Feel free to use and/or modify it, I promise I won't say anything more

But if anyone found how to have a better lit inner metal circle, I'd be glad to see how he did the trick :o

Have a nice day !

Regards,
Arthur.

i cant wait to see what you guys are going to release next using these controls you are sharing. it's going to be kick ass. it's plainly awesome that you guys are sharing. it seriously warms my heart to know even with all our bickering and nonsense around here we still maintain that spirit of community.

i've donated a few separate times to g200kg and i think it might be a good idea if you guys release UI's that take advantage of his work you could put a link to donating to him to help pay back (just an idea).

these threads have turned into the most fun :)

g200kg, pleeeeeeaaaaasseee! diffusion on the embossing-border ... it's often looking too disrupted, and one can't do nothing against that ... :(

Textures in Skinman / Knobman - is it possible to change the prog to choice from more then 64 textures? That is the limit now for BMP-files in the folder.

Is it possilbe to get diffusion for .png images?

Post

??? you're reading my mind, i was right now thinking of reposting that fearure request!!! :) unbelievable ...
however, a big +1 for that, badly needed ... most of the png's are not usable, as the borders look too disrupted and one can't change that within knobman ...

g200kg, apart from that, you really need to improove the antialiasing algorithm ... it must work sub-pixel wise ... i suppose that would cover a lot of these diffusion problems ...
