Pretty harsh words, I would say that you can look at whats there or dream about pie in the sky improvements. This so called lack of features in Iris hasn't had me worried in the least. On further reflection nearly all the software that I've used has had bugs, limitations and missing features, yet still I can get to results that please me and in the process learn and develop my musical and music production skills. My present setup with the many plugs each with the lack of this or that feature is still keeping me interested now after 3 yers of intensive use... Personally I easily find it in my heart to give developers a chance especielly brand new offerings by a new team players in the field of plugin instruments. It really is a dream scenario that iZotope and Gforce two have teamed up this way two companies that in each their core fields anyone in the know cannot doubt that they know what they are doing. With Iris they have implemented a proof of concept in a timely fashion and have made a strong first number release offering. Iris does do what it promises and that without undo problems with bugs or crptic workflows that stop the creative process..Caine123 wrote:instead of posting such promo videos always, companies should provide more tutorials, sound design examples and more. thats why i bought alchemy and love it.
i demo'ed iris and also padshop, both seem to be great but especially iris is so half baked with so many features crying to be implemented, the program is too expensive for what it is yet, with nice small additions like time stretching, some small adjustments etc. it would be my new favourite toy but i hope another company catches up on this and makes it better!
there is also a FREE PLUGIN! didnt test it yet!
SPEAR

I recognize Iris for the qualities that it has now.
Spear is non realtime but go ahead enjoy the free plug for what it can do for you with that limitation..
