I'll always keep this as a reminder in my bookshelf:

Hey, coming from Atari Logic (and Notator before that) I was fairly pissed when they *brought out* Logic for Windows the first time around... ;)

Those are called MSEG.

Apple also buys out companies and gets rid of the product/competition. I wonder what camel audio had coming next.

the data being the text on the CA site (which gives nothing away) and speculation elsewhere
Actually that's not entirely true If you read the thread. The text and links removed from the site says alot. The sudden no info from camel also says alot. The little bit of hearsay gathered is enough to make a reasonable deduction of whats going on. It's like a deductive novel taking place, a little bit of clues and deductive logic is all it takes. Will know for sure soon anyways to see if are deductions were correct.

I think they only do that to have a stranglehold on the market.. they don't own the market in pro audio, they are simply a player.

*IF* they bought CA out, I'd say it was more for the software and the skillsets..

Try reading it again ;)

i did read it, there's no facts there.

Either way, love the KvR rumour mill.... a few otpions have been missed, but i guess they went down the pan as soon as apple was mentioned.... nobody mentioned an Alchemy/Omnisphere love child did they?

i couldnt care less if Ben has sold up, good luck to him. Cash is king, as they say. :tu:

Alchemy still works, im guessing it will few a good few years yet.... no big deal is it? Something new always comes along.

chin up, its not like a nutter went into his office and shot all the Camel staff....

If Apple is willing to buy the company and offer him a secure future working on interesting new projects, that sounds like a huge win.
yep +1

Yes, I've got that Logic manual also somewhere. I still remember buying my first DAW software: Logic Audio 2.5 on Windows 95 in a big box. Midi, score and eight tracks multitracking!

Upgraded to Logic 6 and sold it. And bought Cubase SX3 for less. But I don't think this will work with Alchemy and CamelPhat and CamelSpace and all those libraries.

With the difference that, back then, it was a step to a wider audience. ;)

So it seems some people are thinking if it was a mac buyout its possible alchemy 2 won't be released. That they will be assigned entirely new jobs and not into the little audio production market there is for mac. Why then take down all the vstis and samplepacks then? Also a sound designer mentioned he wasn't worried about whatever is going on. If CA were in fact motivated by money, wouldn't they squeeze in the benefits from an Alchemy 2 release before they joined apple?

Yep - good luck to him, if he's moving on to something better then great. I still have the software I paid for, it's a shame, he'll be missed but such is life...

Then I suggest you leave the thread and come back when there is a formal announcement made. This is *all* speculation based on what info and evidence we have, which isn't a lot, but *is* something. C'mon, use your brain, guy...
