VCV has a steep learning curve because there is an overwhelming number of modules that can be used.
For the LinnStrument player, there are literally no ready-made patches that could be used out of the box.
So most of the time I start a VCV patch from scratch and end up with something very similar to my latest patches
This time I made a short improvisation using 4 instances of NI Absynth via VCV Host. But honestly I have to say, using a VST inside VCV is not that fun compared to creating a sound using VCV rack modules.

If you start watching Omri Cohens videos, it will naturally flow upwards that list…; - )Roger_Linn wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 5:05 pm Yes, I agree. Currently "Digging into VCV Rack" is floating around #23 in my "Cool technology I'd like to dig into when time permits" list.
But anyway, we could share here also cool VCV Rack MPE patches… Which is even more inspiring than watching videos…

If you just listen to them while cooking, it will rise further… Doesn‘t even need extra time…; - ) His occasional „oh yeah“ or „oh yes“ alone has artistic value…

A few new pieces featuring LinnStrument. The first is a cover of Zappa’s King Kong by my brother Dan and several other players - I contributed an Audio Modeling “trombone” solo on LinnStrument:

The second is a piece called Wish with three LinnStrument tracks - Cherry Audio GX80, Audio Modeling Clarinet, and Chromaphone 3 for drums:

Just got the Linnstrument this weekend, this is my first day playing with it. I'm enjoying it immensely! Tried to make some doodles in A Dorian, and figured I ought to record it for the future, to get an overview of my progress (which I hope will show less sloppy playing and better understanding of what hand gestures work best). I saw that people are posting their recordings here, so I might as well share my first meandering attempt full of mistakes and erroneous notes.

Very nice, Andrew! Especially after only one day. I hope you post more videos as you become more familiar with your new LinnStrument 128.

“Natural Instincts” is a bit of a departure for me. I used the Clavichord instrument in Pianoteq with no Y pitch bend. Aftertouch does provide some vibrato possibilities as on a real clavichord (although I have never played the real thing). Also, I typically play with one hand for leads and this piece is a two-handed piece. I was inspired to try the clavichord in Pianoteq after listening to Keith Jarret’s Book of Ways album.
