Just a note: Corel Draw Suite 2024 is available at the humble store for the next 3 days.
https://www.humblebundle.com/software/f ... warebundle
Though it's been some time since I used it, I'm pretty sure this is the closest thing to Adobe Illustrator that you're going to find (sry affinity designer is not even close to AI). It's not cheap at $70, but this seems to be a permanent lic, where, when offered in the past at the humble store it was only a 6 mo subscription.
For those who might not be super good at drawing, Corel Draw offers full point editing, not to mention shape blending and bitmap tracing (create vector art from raster art automatically). All of which can be animated in something like moho or whatever...
*This is way more of a precision drawing tool than say the drawing tools offered in moho,
drawing ability is not really needed since you can simply position the points over the lines
in a photograph for instance. If you've never used AI, this is along the lines of ink scape,
but way better. Though ink scape has made great strides since it's inception.

just picked up a plasticine movie maker kit, to have some fun with my granddaughters tomorrow.
comes with plasticine, a little stage with back drops, card accessories, and an app!
obviously, can all be done with pretty much any camera, but im hoping the "kit" apsect, will make it more attractive to a 5 and 3 year old, as it comes with the little cute characters to build, rather than just trying to show them how to use a camera! and no, i dont expect greatness (even if they are my offspring, so obviously will be creative genii!) but i do expect fun!!!
anyone with kids/grandkids might also want to look at something similar
amazon, they also do a morph and chad one! classic!

Upgraded yesterday. A couple of FR's I made seem to have gone in, eg Spout input and camera input on any layer.
The new audio visualisers are probably going to make it interesting to a lot more folk, I suspect.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Indeed. They made some significant improvements across the board. Impressive.whyterabbyt wrote: Tue Sep 16, 2025 9:05 amUpgraded yesterday. A couple of FR's I made seem to have gone in, eg Spout input and camera input on any layer.

Also bought. I had signed up for the beta, but unfortunately it was locked in demo mode throughout.
The new purchase is going to feel nice and shiny, because I haven’t been able to export without the watermark.

If you had the beta installed, be aware that I ran into an issue where a lot of shaders wouldnt work properly in the new full version. I eventually brute-forced a solution, but the proper official one is to go to top-left '3 lines' icon, open Settings from that, and all the way down at the bottom you'll find ''Reset Shader Cache' so click on that. Then if you've already downloaded Expansions, you may need to re-download them again.

Also; I cant get VS2 to load two of the Factory video files, Ive tried on two systems but nada. Anyone able to confirm?
perplexon-flare-3.mp4
perplexon-flare-5.mp4
FWIW, one of these (I lost track of which one) is used in one of the Factory presets (I also lost track of which one)

I haven’t tried the non-beta yet, but will keep this in this in mind when setting it up.
If nobody else responds to the other post, I can check later tonight (but likely your early morning).
