Ohnonono. I've been doing this in a band for 10+ yrs. It's no fun. Just as a very quickly done satire. But depending on the theme of the monthly I might have to do satires until the end, or something.

Why not?

How often do we hear surveys and statistics touted as "In a random sampling of X people, X percent think XYZ"?

So...
"In a randomn sampling of 230 people most think I am hotter than 98% of the other women on Hot Or Not"...

But hey, I only joined that site because one of my friends loves it and she goaded me into joining to see how I would be rated.

Signal chain was:

Tracktion parametric EQ (to take out some boxiness around 200 Hz)-->Freeverb Too

Now, I did mirror the track to a 2nd track and delayed it by 2 clicks. I hard-panned the original left and the delayed copy right. I had to bring the pan of the original track slightly right, for whatever reason, to make it seem 'centered'.

I do this on acoustic guitar tracks to put a larger sound in them without using chorus, and a few times I think I hear what you are saying. The delaying is what does it. Playing around with the delay emphasizes the 'chorusy' sound at different notes. Something to do with comb filtering I'm told.

Yikes!!! I just got my computer working again. What happened to this thread? Isn't there enough shallowness in music? Does this need to be extend to this humble competition?

Seems people are competing for all different reasons. Me, I'm here for the educational experience, I have so much to learn. Others are here to win the competition. Then there are those who are taking any opportunity they can find for exposure - there is nothing wrong with that. Now in the music industry AV industry we see today, what you look like is very important (acutely so if you are a woman). So if you are trying to make a career for yourself and you look the part, then let people know.

This is my third competition (if I get something done). I am aware I haven't earned myself a place here to comment on what the competition is or isn't about but surely it is just a bit of fun and exposure. This sensationalism seems out of place.

(By the way, has anyone put Vurt's picture on hotornot.com yet?)
