indeed, thats not the plan. Handling big amounts of Sampled data is Nexus exclusive

What are your Comp specs? I think your problems is your Computer or Bitwig not avenger. Avenger has never crashed on me once. I have ran 7 instances of Avenger each with max OSC's - no problems.. I'm running 4.1 Ghz Octacore Processor with 32 GB of DDR3 1600mhz with (SS Drives)feedbackmachine wrote:I think it is time the Rene starts to optimize + stabilize the Avenger's code. The oscillator section causes heavy cpu spikes. Also the plugin crashes regularly in most DAWs. In Bitwig it is so awful, that it crashes almost every second start, and then often on audio export, after closing the gui, etc etc. (VST2 and VST3).
Please make your homework the right way. This state actually is not production ready. And I don't want devalue your product, I agree it's great, maybe the best available from concept. But when it comes to quality control, please start to face reality and address the problems.
Here is a shot of the spikes in Bitwig CPU meter, only produced by Avenger: This is quite a horrible graph. You realize the spikes, yes? I isolated the OSCs as cause for this (by disabling all units step-by-step).
It actually looks to me just like denormal numbers. You know, very little floating point numbers that will cause the cpu to enter a super slow super accurate mode, which usually should be prevented in audio DSP?

The shuffle parameter only seems to work on pattern speeds of 1/16 and 1/32. It doesn´t seem to do anything on dotted or triplet speeds. Is that behaviour intended? I wanted to recreate a sequence which was programmed on a 1/16dot arp with a high swing factor. (Avenger 1.3.4 / Win7 / Studio One 3.5.5).

Hmm..maybe you should invent a new kind of expansion. Which only uses stock samples and osc-waveforms. (and is also much cheaper)
For me it looks like every expansion must be pushed with samples to the 70$ mark.
It looks like the included stuff is not good..although there's tons already... every sound-designer has to bring his own samples and osc waveforms to be able to produce the right sound. (not 1-2 but up to 130 new osc waveforms for example.. per pack + xy waveforms/samples)

Klinke1 I think it's better to have more samples you can create the same sounds with just the regular waveforms but if you have different samples you can use them to create new sounds plus you can also use them in the granular module and also as a source in the FM module. More samples it's better. It would be great in Avenger to have a slider that change the tone of a samples.

i would even like to know if RDG using an legit licensed Version of Avenger when they are creating their Expansions . if you watching their Demo videos you can see everything and newest ones are created with Avenger 1.2.2 . if you are seeing they are based in India and use Avenger 1.2.2 you can come to some conclusion ...kevvvvv wrote:Anyone seen this yet? An avenger orchestra for $90

also for 90 Dollar and see that they are not even use Multisamples it is real overpriced , i would not buy anything from them personal .

Tbh with some of the buggy Avenger updates in mind it seems totally legit to me to not update right away if you already have a version that's running smooth.DrumAddict wrote:i would even like to know if RDG using an legit licensed Version of Avenger when they are creating their Expansions . if you watching their Demo videos you can see everything and newest ones are created with Avenger 1.2.2 . if you are seeing they are based in India and use Avenger 1.2.2 you can come to some conclusion ...
What I wanted to ask is where the freebie section from the vengeance website went? I wanted to download scope and someone told me there were free metrum expansions too. Didn't find it anymore

How? Once a sample is imported as regular audio sample, you can't load it in granular engine. The same way you can't use granular samples as regular samples. The same way you can't use drum samples in OSCs. And if they invent other type of osc be sure they won't allow interchangeable sound sources. Everything management-wise in this synth, from presets to sound sources is sooo wrong.100tifiko wrote:samples [...] plus you can also use them in the granular module
It would require for a new sound designer to familiarize with the entire factory content, which is not an easy task even for experienced designers.Klinke1 wrote: It looks like the included stuff is not good..although there's tons already... every sound-designer has to bring his own samples and osc waveforms to be able to produce the right sound. On the other hand, the built in sample manipulation capabilities of Avenger are pretty much inexistent (compared to Falcon for example) so even if the designer can find a sound useful with a little change, that little change will most likely require external editing. If the sample is multisample (key-ranged) then forget about editing, it's simple to make the multisample from scratch and import it.
But on the topic of latest XP, it's size is 2GB for 131 presets while the factory is 4gb for 700+ presets. I recognized a lot of sounds in the demo that can be made in Diva/Zebra, yet in Avenger Kevin (which is very talented) needed to sample a huge amount. In all honesty I was expecting the use of samples but mostly drums, impacts, not actual synth sounds.
At this point I'm quite curios how many presets are actually made with just OSCs (shapes & tables but no samples). It starting to look like swiss-army knife Avenger can't stand a 5 years-old axe like Zebra when talking about cinematic sound design.

maybe it looks legit to you but not to me . watching with good eyes you can see that on every video or screenshot the last pixel where the license name would show are cropped out .MirkoVanHauten wrote:Tbh with some of the buggy Avenger updates in mind it seems totally legit to me to not update right away if you already have a version that's running smooth.

Exactly..how should i start to get into creating sounds with avenger when even "experienced sound-designers" seem to capitulate.sircuit wrote:It would require for a new sound designer to familiarize with the entire factory content, which is not an easy task even for experienced designers.Klinke1 wrote: It looks like the included stuff is not good..although there's tons already... every sound-designer has to bring his own samples and osc waveforms to be able to produce the right sound. Imho you should not need any new samples whatsoever to design a "Psy" library.
I mean..what's the point...
(buying one expansion makes it even more complicated...)

sound designers, who are contracted by us, have a minimum requirement of samples, shapes, wts and drums to deliver in each xp. Most of the samples/shapes/WTs or Drumkits are not even used in the presets, there are there for your own preset design, to expand Avengers stock of sources with each xp. In the cinematic xp 75% of the Presets are not even using samples so the comparison with Zebra is simply untrue. Dont talk without knowing any facts, or even having tested the xp you talk about please.
but the old cracked version wasn't smooth, the most recent one works much better.Tbh with some of the buggy Avenger updates in mind it seems totally legit to me to not update right away if you already have a version that's running smooth.
will come in an update. Under the hood its a bit more difficult to do as it may seem. How? Once a sample is imported as regular audio sample, you can't load it in granular engine.

Hey guys,
I bought the Deep House and Cinematic expasion versions. Registered and downloaded with the key suplied. Then opened up Avenger in Studio One, imported the expansions but there is a crossed key beside each newly exported expansion. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks a lot

Generate a new KEY-FILE, using vps-avenger.com and download and import that new key into Avenger (same way as importing an expansion).ilalin wrote:Hey guys,
