I bought the Deep House and Cinematic expasion versions. Registered and downloaded with the key suplied. Then opened up Avenger in Studio One, imported the expansions but there is a crossed key beside each newly exported expansion. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks a lot
It's much easier to import expansions via Avengers VMan (in the bottom left corner of the Avenger GUI). In VMan you can enter your registration-code and Avenger will not only download the expansion but also update your keyfile.

Since you already downloaded and imported the expansions simply click the "Keyfile" button in VMan (top right corner).

you have to update your Avenger to the latest version

than there is a "VMAN" Button on the bottom left. LogIn there with your account data and activate the XPs
You have to activate them with the license keys of each expansion you got in the purchase email, but as you wrote you alread did that. So just activating them in the VMAN is enough.

Here's a tech question for @msvs ...

Lets say I have two OSCs in Avenger.
I play a Dm chord (D3 - F3 - A3), but I only want OSC1 to play the chord.
I want OSC2 to play only D3 (the root note).

Is there a way of telling OSC2, "only play the lowest midi note you are passed, in this case D3, and ignore F3 and A3."

The chord could be different everytime of course. I am looking just to process the lowest note on OSC2.

?

There is still room in the GUI for a MIDI FX tab before the arp (also a corresponding MIDI FX checkbox in the vertical route layout) and a whole plethora of MIDI processing could be implemented in time. Beginning with basic filtering, then velocity processors & stuff.

yes thats actually possible, go to OSC2, Voicing Tab and set the polyphony of this OSC to 1/1L (lowest note)

Thanks, much appreciated.

manuel, as i got the cinematic xp recently, maybe you can give me a hint about this sound? appreciate any help :)

i always wonder when hearing those sounds what those exactly are? i couldnt hear a preset in a full synth like this yet, yet they are so dominant in cinematic libraries.

i mean those at 8, 12 and 16 seconds

https://soundcloud.com/thesoundyeti/col ... -fx-bundle

does anyone know how these could be defined, and maybe how these could be made yourself?

I'm new to Avenger, can't find a way to do this, thought I'd ask here:

Any way to group the drum sounds in a kit, so that one sample stops when another starts in the drum sequencer? Like you see sometimes for hats (closed and open)?

Choke Groups.

That's the phrase I was looking for. Brain stopped working there for a minute. :D

Doesn't appear to exist in Avenger though. :(

Would be cool also to be able to set up multiple drum sequences too, and then map them to different keys in the "Zones" section. 8)

Is the developer responsive to feedback?

Just thinking out loud here. :phones:

Seems like it would be relatively easy to set up too. Just add a section to the "DrM Sq" tab like the "Arp" tab already has across the top, where you can create multiple arps. Then add a Drm Sq1, Drm Sq2, etc. to the "Zones" section.

You could get some good funky drummer going, all with just one hand across part of the key zone. :)

Thanks to everybody for the help regarding the import of the new expansions. Both, the cinematic and the deep house one are professionally produced and amazing sounding. Essentially, you are presented with already prestructured and pre-mixed elements that work well together arrangement and frequency wise. Not only that, elements are easily manipulated to achieve what you personally are striving for, especially using the modulation knobs.
Now is the time for creativity to flow out of these. Combine various elements from various expansions, form a structure and mix...just beautiful!

Try with some factory complex shapes like "DubGrowl 2" or "DubKiller 2.

Add some FM

Add a low pass filter like "NEX LP12" and close the filter at 100 Hz or something like this. Add some drive.

In the mod matrix, move completely to the right the bar of "FLT Cut off" destination.

Add a shaper and reverb to taste.

This is just a start, but it sounds pretty similar.

On the other hand, I am in contact with PluginGuru to launch an expansion for Avenger. Greetings
