Interesting, especially this part

"At the end of your three months of Roland Ultimate, you can continue with a Roland Ultimate membership or claim a 50% off Lifetime Key purchase for a onetime transaction of instruments and sound collections."

So does that really mean an ultimate membership you can cancel in January and get a plugin at 50% off?

If so, what happens if you have a P4L Pro membership that runs to December?


Edit: Hmm, looking at it again, most of the plugins I'd be interested in are $199 compared to P4L at $99 so less of a bargain for me.

If you don’t have it, the XV-5080 would be $64.50 versus $99 for Play4Life.

The only thing I don't like is they give the code for the "free" 3 months of Ultimate, but then you still have to use a credit card. I know it isn't charged (unless you forget) but why say it's "free" when they want a CC?

I have a Roland Cloud account already, I have the code they sent me, and they could just set it to a timer of 3 months so the plugins stop working at that point and be done with it. I'd rather just get the 1/2 off lifetime key deal.

Seems like a desperation move to get more subscribers in time for the end of year financials for Roland Corporate Investor Relations. They had 30k active subs in the last report, my guess is that has dropped further and they need to get that number up

This also shows that Space Echo and Earth Piano have not really moved the needle for Roland Cloud at all as there is no mention of either in any of the marketing

The free month for new subs just isn't working anymore so they have to make it three months plus a discount on a lifetime key

And of course it's only for new customers, once again if you are a loyal monthly subscriber at $20 a month or $240 a year, well you get absolutely nothing

So, I got the code, figured I'd try it, followed the instructions but when I click the "3-month Ultimate," all I have is a button that says "CHANGE NOW" with no option to enter a coupon code.

A little scared to click that button for fear I'm just giving them 50 bucks right away.

Question about the Cloud and Jupiter X.

Using the Galaxies, as it has four parts just like the Jupiter X, the latter having a ryhtmique part in addition, I can make stacking with the Galaxies and realize a kind of scene with four layers.

The big difference between the scenes is that in the Juptier X there are 512 available programmed, ready to use, whereas in the Galaxies, I have to compose them myself so well understood?

Is it really worth investing in the Jupiter X or is the Galaxies more interesting?
