Hey 10 to go!shhh let's pretend something happens when we hit 400.
Hello to everyone here and many THANKS to Esoundz / Squiz for this exciting project (Have only been here a few days
I purchased MIRO directly from IKM here a few weeks ago and has In this project purchased Sample Moog, Sample Tank and Sonic Synth
wich has given me Bonus for download of the following Expansion:
Acc. Guitar, E-Drum, Acc-drum, Hip Hop, Vintage, Wolrd, Arp Solo,
Sample Tron Excl. Ext and Squids Tron Excl.
Loops do not have my interest and Sample Arp has been disappointing, but the rest has all been positive experiences!
My questions are now:
1. Will Symphony Strings 2 STE be a good add to MIRO?
- or will it be to many duplicates and possibly be wasted now that the extra bonus "FREE exclusive Miroslav outtakes
collection of sample tank" will be added this week?
2. Sonic Synth, Squids Tron Exclusive Ext and SampleTron Exclusive Extras has opened my interest for the Tron sounds, therefore I now considering buying either Sample Tron or alternatively Squids Tron Collection V1!
Sample Tron will give me added bonus (although the rest on the listed have my attention or interest:-)
- with both I will get duplicates from the 2 Trond's Extra as I have from the Bonus list)
Good advice and inputs are welcome to above (I know many others in this forum have asked in the same area:-)
- thanks to a super-project and a very dedicated forum!
Ps: Does "TANK10" ore any other code still giving 10 USD on the GB??
Bjarke (Denmark)
Sorry for my english!
My Set-up is Cubase 6, Native Komlete + extra, Korg Legacy, Arturia Analog Factory, Halion Sonic, some LinPlug modules etc.

I am still considering getting in on this group buy even though I already have the five instruments, just for the bonuses and the Miro outtakes. Does anyone have any comments about Vintage Soul as opposed to Sixties Motown? Also anyone have Jazz Grooves?

Squids
If there are too many duplicates in SampleTron, I hope I can swap my Bonus (Squids Tron Collection vol 1
SampleTron Exclusive Extras)?
ThankYou

Page one says 394 at the moment. Come on stragglers and slackers! We've already got the last freebie, now lets earn it!
After last year's Expansion Tank group buy, I don't think there are enough libraries left for me to use all my freebies now without duplicating. I'm calling that a good thing, what a deal.

Glad to hear the rest have all been positive!bjarke wrote:Loops do not have my interest and Sample Arp has been disappointing, but the rest has all been positive experiences!
It hasn't come up often in this thread, but SampleARP solo is a big library of sounds from the ARP line of synths. That's both good and bad - the ARPs had sort of a "thin" sound to them compared to the Oberheims and Moogs. They were useful machines and generated sounds that were featured on lots of classic songs and albums. But they need help from tweaks and effects more than most sounds.
The SampleARP Solo set was designed to give you the raw tools - for better or worse, it's a collection of real ARP synth sounds. They're the real deal. Of course, that means its up to you to apply those built-in SampleTank effects to make them sound the way you want.
Also, it's more important to check out all the Child sounds in SampleARP Solo than in many of the other sets.
For anyone totally new to SampleTank, you'll see little black triangles next to the sound names when you browse through the sound libraries. The names you see are the Parent sounds. Click on the triangle and it will expand to show the Child sounds based on that parent.
The sounds in Symphony Strings 2 will NOT be exact duplicates, as they didn't come from the Miroslav Vitous sample library. There are no exact duplicates at all. But of course it's yet another set of string ensembles and solo orchestral stringed instruments - basically what you have in Miroslav.bjarke wrote:1. What I can tell you about the sounds in Symphony Strings is that they make great pads, but the Miroslav instrument gives you a whole lot more articulation and expression.
If you get SampleTron, the "SampleTron Exclusive Extras" will be all repeats. If you get Squids Tron Collection vo1 1, then the "Squids Tron Exclusive Extras" will be all repeats.bjarke wrote:2. Sample Tron will give me added bonus (although the rest on the listed have my attention or interest:-)
- with both I will get duplicates from the 2 Trond's Extra as I have from the Bonus list)
Either way, one or the other of the Exclusive Extras will become a repeat set.
If you still want more bonus libraries, getting SampleTron in this group buy will get you four more bonus choices. That would be a very good deal. If you miss the group buy (ends in about six hours), Squids Tron Collection vol 1 (download) will be a little cheaper.
An added bonus is that some of the sounds that are in both Squids Tron and SampleTron have one extra feature: you can choose whether to loop the sounds or not. (That feature didn't exist in SampleTank when the Squids Tron Collection first came out.)
For most people that isn't really important, but it's a small advantage to getting some of the sounds through SampleTron rather than through Squids Tron.
I think the deciding factor is whether you would want at least one more bonus library. If you don't really need or want any more of them, I'd probably save the money and go with Squids Tron. If you only want one more, the total price would be about the same, so go with SampleTron. The three other libraries might not be anything you need, but they would basically be free extras, so you might as well get them.
