Just a heads up that the new version of MixControl Pro is almost ready, and all beta testers will be notified via e-mail within the coming days. This release will most likely be an official release candidate :)

Also, a note for Protools fans, an RTAS version is still planned for release as well, we are just waiting for approval from Avid Technologies. We are hoping to have this version available at the same time as the initial MCP release but will keep users informed as much as possible.

For those looking for a new manual, we have added one to the beta testing forum, as well as the user accounts :)

Sure thing, and if you happen to notice the absence of critical information or typos and such, please drop us a line and we will make sure it is corrected :)

I never once mentioned him as "a problem" because without him, there wouldn't be a DNR Collaborative Design Group. And we are not advancing in that direction, we are following a predetermined business plan that is based around future revenue. Reason was never a problem for the customers either - everyone ended up with a valuable product for a minuscule investment. Reason was a problem for himself, unfortunately.
Imho you really need to get to grips with the concept of professionalism. This is not an appropriate statement for a public forum.
+1

I feel sorry for Reason having people say stuff like that about him in a public forum- not cool :uhuhuh:

(sorry for the late comment but it took approximately 7.3 hours to wade through this shamefest of a thread ;) )

Seriously though I wish this company all the best and hopefully they can stay on the right side of their customers in the future. :D

I would have extended the explanation behind this but felt it better to let it lie - Reason owned this company and did indeed turn it into something great. I am fairly certain that nearly everyone who met and worked with Reason from this and other forums has been impacted by his generosity and his vision for creativity and community. He is an explosive person with a knack for coming up with unique ideas, but the amount of time and effort that it takes to run this company correctly was removing him from what he is truly best at - producing, remixing and creating. In the end, he was solely responsible for product design, marketing, packaging, web administration, customer service and support, project management and so forth. I can't tell you the amount of times that he approached us to help him, but we ignored his requests on the basis of considering DNR a "hobby" business with no real future. After operating DNR for the past months, we can plainly see that the amount of work he was completing on a daily basis was frightening. We have about 8 people right now doing the work he was doing every single day, which tells me that he was doing a damn good job after all was said and done. Had we just offered a small amount of help, he could have probably just kept going and made things work, but we did not. So in the end, it really is our own fault that he had such a hard time.

And also, as a note to all beta testers and MixControl Pro users - a release candidate has been compiled and includes Mac OSX 64-bit versions :) Much requested and now it will be available a little later today. Everyone on the beta notification list will receive an e-mail when it is available.

Just a notice that everyone now has the new beta in their user account :) This beta should have all bugs addressed, and a new user manual is located in your user accounts as well. We didn't get to add it to the application yet, but it will be in the release version, along with user + factory presets. This version also see the 64-bit AU and VST for Mac OSX included. Enjoy, and please let us know if there is any issues with the new version :)

Hi Steven,

First, let me congrat your team for your hard work.
I've won a free license of Mixcontrol in a recent contest here in KVR (choose a number and win...). IIRC I didn't register for an account, i've just received my license through email. Will i qualify for a free update?
Thanks.

All previous giveaway winners and beta-testers have been logged and are completely eligible for the upgrade. If you send an e-mail to the address in this signature, we will setup an account for you and add MixControl so that you can login and download the files :)

I'm looking forward to the new version but this thread really doesn't belong in the marketplace, how come it's still here? From what I understand Marketplace is for individuals selling their stuff, I haven't seen any other company announcing and giving support to their beta products on 48 pages long threads here. Even those annoying IK groupbuys threads don't stay that long, do they?

It's not like I have a problem with it, I'm mostly curious.
