FWIW, my natural attempt to leave Track context and resume MT context was to try clicking or dbl-clicking on the MT header. This did not work (but I suggest it would be a good thing if it did).

I'll test this with the Address Sanitizer in a few minutes.
Negative :(
Ok, so, I re-booted and I can't reproduce it anymore.. But, to clarify what I was doing, I dropped a finger picker down and then scaled it out several bars, then double clicked that to edit with the intention of trimming it back to the size I wanted by cutting and deleting the notes off. At that point it crashed..

You have a few options to change the keyboard focus without clicking. There are shortcuts defined for that:

Today muting MIDI CC tracks was added, so that will be possible from the next beta version.

Thanks,

I was sure you have found a bug, so I carefully checked what happens after you click with the mouse, and I found a race condition with the UI rendering thread in VERY rare conditions (when you split notes which results in resizing the notes array). This is fixed now.

Thank you, BluGenes! :hail:

Hello . It seems to me that it would be possible to improve the functionality of the new virtual keyboard and add to it the function of constructing a chord with the transfer of the result to the master track. This is quite a visual way to build a chord for a master track and it can be a kind of chord builder.

Hi. I'm now seeing 'Invalid Composition' even for compositions that are months old (i.e. not just the ones created in the last beta).

Has this been looked at?

Post

Hi! I have the same thing

Post

OMG, I am checking this! I'll have a fix shortly.

I have found the "invalid composition" bug. A new update is being built now.
Sorry, and thanks,
Attila

This almost works, or I should say it works some of the time.

I configured like this:

RC - Set Focus Keystrokes 01.jpg

and set up a Dice/'G' working scenario.

Then, if I click on a phrase, I can subsquently Ctrl-M back to MT focus and keep on with Dice/'G'.

OTOH, if I click on a track header, I cannot subsquently Ctrl-M back to MT focus and keep on with Dice/'G'. Instead I get unintended changes in the track.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

BTW, would it be possible to add reverse lookup for the Keyboard Shortcuts?

IOW, search on 'Ctrl+M' and have the answer be any/all shortcuts where that is used.

Thanks for v5.3b5!

Great to have my compositions back!

The CC mutes will be very handy also.

BTW, it occurs to me that a Master CC Mute could be very helpful for troubleshooting by saving us from having to find and mute every CC one-at-a-time when we need to see if the presence of CC output is causing us issues.
