thanks alot! but i only watch it if it is a SHORT cause i have no time for videos, only SHORTsenCiphered wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2024 11:07 pmDemoing a synth can be exhausting. But don't worry! 1.5 is a phenomenal update.... Dare I say... Dawesome?
I was in the camp of not really having an issue with the first resynthesis engine, but I will gladly take another with 4 different variations.
Mixing the two different engines together works great, one on one Iris and the other on the other, modulating them in and out so your get the grindy wavetably 1st with the smoother more true to sample second.
Myth is now fixed permanently on a track in whatever current project I got going.

Honestly I'm still up to the same shenanigans with this version than I was in the previous, it's just one more resynthesis option to muck around with. I used it on a recording of dry ice sublimating in the kitchen sink, made it a creepy dark ambient drone, played a minimalist MInibrute/Strega line over it and that's my next track done.

This update definitely sweetened my feelings on the synth. I was a detractor of resynthesis v1. It makes it so much more enjoyable for me to actually want to use the centerpiece of the instrument.

really i hate installers which doesnt let you choose the destinations... why cant i choose where to let it install the library?

The sound quality even on low CPU mode is really excellent.
One little detail I like (and that should be in the other synths) is when you click on a patch name the text is automatically selected. For me that is useful because it means I can use Mac Automator to convert patches to NKS for Komplete Kontrol, something that not having the text selected is much harder as Automator doesn't seem to like it if I have to select the text with the mouse (as I do with Novum for example). Would be great if they could all do that (esp Novum)

In Tracktion Download Manager, uncheck "Install when download completes", then it'll give you an installer dialog where you can choose a custom directory.Caine123 wrote: Sun Nov 03, 2024 3:42 pm really i hate installers which doesnt let you choose the destinations... why cant i choose where to let it install the library?

Video - testing the updated resynthesis algorithm in Dawsome MYTH version 1.5 using a sample of female laughter. This is not wave-tabling the samples but also re-synthesizing all the pitch information of the original sample quite accurately, impressive! As soon as one slows down the re-synthesized sample the artifacts become obvious, but not necessarily in a bad way. I'll buy this thing now.

Video: Custom MYTH patch using a re-synthesized cello sample in Iris 1, long multi-bowed sustain with vibrato with transition to natural harmonics towards the end of the sample, synth wave through tuned BP filter in OSC2.
