Either way, I'm glad we were able to get a couple things out so far this year and looking forward to more in the future.
Lol what a pathetic reply. Instead say yes, we lied to you and I'm sorry. But no, you're happy you got a scrappy piano out lmao. And you "look forward" to more in the future. This was your worst reply in the thread so far. Truly pathetic. Lost all respect from me at least 😃

Introspective wrote: Wed Nov 27, 2024 2:37 pm ...Just to be clear: "increasing the number of instruments this year" means one instrument (Earth Piano) and one effect (Space Echo)?

I suppose that is technically increasing the number, but I admit it does not meet my expectations.

I appreciate the response. Thanks.

...Are you allowed to say how many Roland Cloud products you are aware of in the works that are taking longer than expected?

I suspect we will see something new from Roland on the hardware front from Roland at NAMM in a few months

Wouldn't be surprised to see a replacement for ACB. Not sure if they will call it ACB 2 or something else entirely

That will allow for a new System 8 type hardware synth. The System 8 came out almost 9 years ago now in 2016

That means new ACB Jupiter 8, Juno 106, etc and once again Roland can sell yet another version of their back catalog. These will eventually come to software as well if not right away

Wouldn't be surprised if they have more polyphony and sound very much like the old versions

Whatever the case we won't see any new Roland Software titles until there is something new besides ACB or Zencore on the hardware side. As all the Cloud is now is ports from the hardware along with Earth Piano

they can release what they want, but when it is using the same framework (RolandCloud) and registration system (lifetime keys and no ilok/challenge response or whatever) I will give not them a penny/euro. And even then I will have to think hard after this debacle going on for years. It is obvious now Roland is not really listening to customers and quite frankly are rather insulting to customers with their ever growing list of requests and nuisances that are never fixed. The last statement from Jon says it al. Sorry guys, not sorry we have nothing new besides a piano and a 201. Totally nothing after all these years of asking for JP8000s, VSynths, AlphaJ and whatnot...no a freaking piano, while selling 2 piano SRXs already and wave expansions for the Zenology with pianos

I 100% agree, and when they do come out with "new" stuff it will be more repackaging of what they have already done. Yet another Jupiter 8, yet another Juno, yet another 303 etc

Just one "Earth Piano" and nothing at all in 2023

In fact in the past two and half years it's just been Earth Piano
Not true. They did release Galaxias. Yes, it just layers other products they have, but it is 'something'.

Devon
I don't consider Galaxias to be an instrument

It's a VST host that hosts other software titles that you have to have installed on your computer and have to subscribe to the Ultimate Sub to use it

Does anyone have a fix for "couldn't connect to Roland Cloud (E052)"?

I tried several restarts and turning off the firewall. I'm on Windows.

Nope that's been an ongoing issue for many many years with no solutions. The people who run Roland Cloud have been to busy making Earth Piano and Galaxias to be bothered to fix it
