Weird because dragon and the second part are attached in his name, but even a search for "dragon" for KVR members did not pull up his name.

Anyway, all sorted now, and, it's over 8749 presets!! I just got over 2000 more presets out of this :D Woohoo

PS: In V1.12 you can save all the extra banks collected in a zip file that is read directly by Synth1 :) In the options, you just pick the correct zip folder for external banks. No need to assign each bank manually anymore :) I took me a total of 30 seconds to get all the banks into Synth 1 :)
+1

very cool update, thank you so much ! :wheee: :tu: :hyper:

great update (zipped presets is cool !)
Now, the ability to read the ini file placed in synth1 folder would be nice (some people don't like to see things scattered on their c drive, even if thats m$ stupid guidelines).

Now here's another proof to show excesses are no good ! :o
This guy is making suddenly more updates than I can install ! :-o :help:

But it is also the proof that we don't complain about certain excesses and suffer them in silence...

Synth1 is just what is says : nº1 ! :D

Cheers,

Max... .. . :P

Agree with that. Too confusing to have things all over the place and much easier to back up, port etc with all in one folder.

thanks for creating and releasing Synth1, Daichi :)
*work in progress* :)

My take on it was, you could have some banks stored in a big zip archive. But you can't edit those presets. Probably not an option I'm going to use.
Fig Newton: The force required to accelerate a fig 39.37 inches per sec.

You can edit the presets. You just can't save them to the same bank. Edit a preset and save it to a new patch in a new bank located in the internal folder..

Post

I like that you cant overwrite patches in zip archive,so you wont accidentaly overwrite anything and they will stay in original state.

This new .zip thing is awazing. Makes patch management so much easier. :D

I put that patches.zip into my zipbanks folder and just use the Internal 99banks for my own personal patches, favorites and experimentation.

The one thing that would be cool though is that if you could right click on banks/individual patches located in the zipbank folder and choose "Send to Internal Bank." That way you can kind of compile a favorites collection of presets and banks in the internal section if you have TONS of banks in the zipbank folder such as with the 8,700 patches.

I'm glad to see my suggestion to use an "ini" file being implemented. As others have stated, it really should be in the same folder as the "dll" file. Also, I don't see the need for exe's to set it up. Why can't there just be a default "ini" file put in the initial zip file? Either that, or could the Synth1.dll check if the "ini" is present in the folder, and if not then create a default one there? That's how I'd do it anyway. Happy to see the continued evolution of this great plug-in. :)
