How would you compare the two, especially in terms of features and CPU performance?

I sat here and typed out a bunch of stuff and deleted it all thinking that i don't feel like I'm experienced with either enough to give a real good reply.
TLDR: Get both, but get Byome first.
So far I feel Byome is a great swiss army knife plugin that can really do a whole lot of stuff. It can be super subtle or wild and crazy which is nice.
I've been finding the subtle side of its saturation/reverbs/etc make it a great mixing tool. It can also get pretty crazy with the granular style effects.
Honestly if i had to get one or the other it would be Byome and then Molekular.
Both have a fairly steep learning curve, but are totally worth it. I would go demo them both and take the time to compare the modules.

Thanks, already got Byome so I guess I'll demo Molekular to see if it's something I needV0RT3X wrote: Tue Nov 20, 2018 12:19 pmI sat here and typed out a bunch of stuff and deleted it all thinking that i don't feel like I'm experienced with either enough to give a real good reply.

Something I made for another thread, but I guess it could be relevant here too.

It's 2 instances of Diva, each going through one instance of BYOME and VintageVerb.

The bottom line is that the sound quality of BYOME is really amazing, as your demos show.Delta Sign wrote: Tue Nov 20, 2018 1:12 pm Something I made for another thread, but I guess it could be relevant here too.

When I listen to the tracks I’ve made using BYOME I immediately notice the dimension, depth and clarity.

That's also what set it apart from other multi effects for me. Sound quality, deepness + modulation possibilities. Also versatility in sound is great, as they included more or less all of their other plugins in some way.perpetual3 wrote: Tue Nov 20, 2018 1:36 pmThe bottom line is that the sound quality of BYOME is really amazing, as your demos show.Delta Sign wrote: Tue Nov 20, 2018 1:12 pm Something I made for another thread, but I guess it could be relevant here too.

[Still hoping for a 1.0.1 this year]

That's not too far wrongNeon Breath wrote: Tue Oct 16, 2018 5:40 pmYou are right, you logic is bulletproof.tincture wrote: Tue Oct 16, 2018 4:38 pm
Then i see the price. Even the intro price. It's a joke right? I can buy half a decent DAW for 149. Crazy IMO. Nuts.
Bye bye. No wonder people pirate stuff. Seriously. What's new here? Innovative? It's a great collection. But
... some people are fools.
Now I have to go, things to take care of. I can't afford a Ferrari, so I'll go downtown steal one.
But those cars each have an intrinsic value not just in the genius behind them
You can't sell 1000 ferraris and then sell the next 10000 for half price
But I'm not defending my comments they were wrong. I just see the price as ferrari for a ford.

This was made for another thread again, but I suppose it belongs here as well.
BYOME as a tape warble effect:

It's all the same preset with just different macro settings each time. You can download the preset here.

Any news when this update will come out? After the Plugin Alliance All Update Byome still is Version 1.0.0 for me and I also don't see any version changelog for Byome on their website.thelizard wrote: Tue Oct 23, 2018 8:28 pm
Josh was able to fully squash all of the GUI performance issues. We are sending in new builds to Plugin Alliance today. These only fix the visual bugs along with a few crashes (no new features yet!), so hopefully they'll go through QA quickly.
Really looking forward to those Bugfixes. I hope Direct Offline Processing in Cubase/Nuendo not working properly with Byome can be fixed soon too

Here’s a BYOME demo I made.
Dry synth first, then BYOME comes in with lots of macro automation.
BYOME on the drums as well.

I have both, very different.yehboy1 wrote: Sun Nov 11, 2018 7:41 pm Anyone own Molekular who also tried BYOME? Wondering what your thoughts are. I've been demoing both and still not sure. I like the Molekular GUI more though - or at the very least it's more exciting graphically.
Personally i prefer Byome, more intuitive.
