I sat here and typed out a bunch of stuff and deleted it all thinking that i don't feel like I'm experienced with either enough to give a real good reply.

TLDR: Get both, but get Byome first.


So far I feel Byome is a great swiss army knife plugin that can really do a whole lot of stuff. It can be super subtle or wild and crazy which is nice.

I've been finding the subtle side of its saturation/reverbs/etc make it a great mixing tool. It can also get pretty crazy with the granular style effects.

Honestly if i had to get one or the other it would be Byome and then Molekular.

Both have a fairly steep learning curve, but are totally worth it. I would go demo them both and take the time to compare the modules.

Thanks, already got Byome so I guess I'll demo Molekular to see if it's something I need

The bottom line is that the sound quality of BYOME is really amazing, as your demos show.

When I listen to the tracks I’ve made using BYOME I immediately notice the dimension, depth and clarity.

That's also what set it apart from other multi effects for me. Sound quality, deepness + modulation possibilities. Also versatility in sound is great, as they included more or less all of their other plugins in some way.

But those cars each have an intrinsic value not just in the genius behind them

You can't sell 1000 ferraris and then sell the next 10000 for half price

But I'm not defending my comments they were wrong. I just see the price as ferrari for a ford.

Waiting for the price... But BYOME look very interesting. I have and love all Unfiltered Audio's plugins. Hoping for a crossgrade.

Josh was able to fully squash all of the GUI performance issues. We are sending in new builds to Plugin Alliance today. These only fix the visual bugs along with a few crashes (no new features yet!), so hopefully they'll go through QA quickly.

Any news when this update will come out? After the Plugin Alliance All Update Byome still is Version 1.0.0 for me and I also don't see any version changelog for Byome on their website.

Really looking forward to those Bugfixes. I hope Direct Offline Processing in Cubase/Nuendo not working properly with Byome can be fixed soon too

Anyone own Molekular who also tried BYOME? Wondering what your thoughts are. I've been demoing both and still not sure. I like the Molekular GUI more though - or at the very least it's more exciting graphically.

I have both, very different.
Personally i prefer Byome, more intuitive.
