I tried the Virus C on my MacBook M1 Air. It’s amazing. Performance was really good too.

A question. How do overwrite and existing preset?

FYI...new update available v1.2.10: https://dsp56300.wordpress.com/downloads/

I think I found a bug:
Save a preset with reverb on -> Load the preset -> There is delay instead
This bug is still happening in this last version :)

hmm...i just tried it:
an init with reverb > small room

Thanks for the news about the update - and what an update! On my trusty i7 4790 I no longer get any CPU spikes! (Using FL Studio ASIO on a standard HP PC's onboard sound) I've tried maybe 100 random presets from five or six banks, I was always getting CPU spikes in the sound on every five to ten presets before this release! My CPU is now always at around 9.5% CPU, looks like about 60% of one of my eight cores, wonderful!
And what a beautiful GUI too!

MacOS is blocking 1.2.10 for me because the developer can't be identified.
I didnt have this problem with 1.2.5.

I clicked the button to open anyway in Security & Privacy, but that didn't do anything.

The Usual Suspects folder isn't showing in Studio One at all since installing 1.2.10.
It's not being blocked by Studio One.

I have no idea how to get it back, or if its even possible, since it's a plugin, not an app.

This is the VST3 version, BTW.

EDIT: I got it working.
I selected Show Package Contents on DSP56300Emu.vst3 then browsed to Contents > MacOS where I found an executable called DSP56300Emu. I opened it and chose to "open anyway" there. I then had to rename the folder it was in, in Plug-Ins > VST3, to get Studio One to scan it again.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

For me, the gui recall is ok, it even says reverb in the combobox, but a delay sounds

For me, it recalls the effect correctly.

However, I have a problem in Ableton where the Preset Name field does not update properly when editing the name of a preset. It does not show the edits unless you constantly swipe the mouse across what you typed, including backspaces and del keystrokes. BTW: This works fine in Cakewalk, so it looks to be DAW-specific.

And it requires you to hit Enter in order for the edit to be remembered. It would be nice if I could just click outside the edit field for it to take the new name. That way I could quickly rename and hit Save.

Stupid question, how can you show patches in the patch browser? I just get feb file browser showing the inside of the component but can’t see the rom or any other files.

Yes, 3.6GHz. Prior to this release, I was thinking I might have to upgrade my PC to a faster CPU (and I can't get a faster CPU for the existing motherboard, so I would have to upgrade that too, so I would be spending over £200) just to get this emulator to work without spikes. Now my trusty old i7 4790 looks like it's going to last me many more years!

You need to press the Up arrow at the top of the browser window to go to your banks folder. Then click on one of your bank files (which end in .mid), and you should see the patches in the right hand window.

Thank you - really odd I can not see any .mid files at all. I have a contents folder which looks empty then inside that macOS and resources folders neither have .mid files at all. Really odd!

I’m assuming that I need to get roms for this as stated on the first page of this topic.
