Grrr. Ferrous is set to arrive on Monday. It’s only a 30 minutes drive away from here, but Monday. Again, no real pain here… just find it funny, and otherwise I’m still super excited.
Yay. Shipping notice for Spotykach. Just a label so far, but pretty exciting.

re the ferrous, i can't help thinking, did they rehouse a "intimate area massage" item, and if so, how difficult would adding cv, to one of those items be?
asking for dave.
still happy with it, it's a lot less embarrassing getting this out at a gig ill bet!

I thought the no instruction thing was a b-stock problem!vurt wrote: Fri Jul 18, 2025 5:55 pm ahhh thats what that little bit of metal is for

Rubber feet to put under the screws too. I just can’t understand the pluses/minuses of leaving the feet off, or is it just an aesthetic thing?

Mine shipped with a green one. I think it’s extra or an alternate for the clear one on the little screw?

Yeah must be extra, as there’s no mention of it on the page… these details are in the Specifications:
Assist 1: A provided threaded standoff with rubber tip can be added near the LED as a fretboard rest between strings. This stops the disc from touching guitar strings and provides a more controlled experience.
Assist 2: Four small rubber feet which can be added to the four screws using a phillips head screw driver. These can be useful for instruments with many strings like Pianos and Zithers. The feet can rest on surrounding strings as the disc resonates strings below.

i can access a couple of pianos, but it means speaking to an aunt and an uncle who i dont really gel with, very conservative (non politically speaking) and have never really appreciated my lack of giving a f**k

I do kind of want an autoharp. Both with and without the Ferrous. They're surprisingly expensive though.

I have a cracked Tres guitar that I’m going to tune up and use later today. I’m hoping to get some nice results especially that it’s acoustic.
I used ferrous with the Wildkat, safe distance from pickups, and it was interesting. I was getting good results until I decided to record. It’s was crap at that point and I was too tired to keep going.
Today is that different day to explore more!
