Komplete Kontrol are totally separate presets. When an instrument like Absynth is installed, it installs both the instruments presets, and the Komplete Kontrol presets for it.
User Absynth patches would need to be saved as Komplete Kontrol patches.
But that's not the case with Massive X. I can save my preset directly in Massive X and it appears in Komplete Kontrol browser (the same applies to Reaktor-based synths). So I would expect the same for Absynth 6.
Really? I thought Massive X presets were a different format than nks. And I've never heard of Reaktor patches showing automatically in KK. KK has never shown my user patches unless I save them in KK. I haven't followed recently preset formats with NI though.

Maybe if they do a KK compatible format, you'd need to convert the .nabs to .nksf for example?

so why is ALLOW USAGE TRACKING always on? you need to choose this option before and not have it on as default!!!

arent NI germans? I thought this is crucial in germany, EU?

maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, I knew it, NI cumbersome UIs.... you cannot drag and drop samples into the sampler/granular engine.... come on we have 2025. you make advertisement with such a new UI and AI crap but this is not possible? this is so bad...

I have a bunch of presets made for Absynth 5 but sold on the pretext that they would be compatible with Absynth 6. This is the package in question...
https://oceanswift.net/product/absynth- ... ollective/
I have gotten as far as being able to get Absynth 6 to recognize the pack name, but not the individual presets within each pack (see attached image). I am presuming that this is because a folder name for each pack is the same regardless of Absynth version. I notice as well, that, even after the lengthy rescanning process of the presets, the old Absynth 5 presets reamained in ".nabs" format rather than being converted to the native ".nksf" format used by Absynth 6

I'm wondering if anyone has been able to successfully upgrade this pack to be able to run in Absynth 6, or if, as I increasingly suspect, I have been sold these presets on a false pretext. It's not a vast amount of money but that doesn't stop it being intensely annoying, if true.

Thoughts, anyone? 🙏

ya man before claiming false pretexts, click the tiny "X" next to the banks where it says 1 and then there is an X

The moment you log into Native Access with your NI account, you accept NI's EULA, which enables usage data tracking as opt-out rather than opt-in.

FL Studio has a separate option for allowing dropped files onto plugin GUIs, in its plugin wrapper. Maybe it works then?

thx, I switched it off in NI Access, but in Absynth it is on, afaik when installing Apps you need an option to decide before installation. again, afaik.

Now I was able to check Absynth6 demo. Don't really like the GUI, and i'm not a fan of this preset explorer map too. Years Ago I've bought Atlas 2 and I can create such maps from my drum / other samples. However this NEW Absynth can be another reason to update my komplete 12 to 16 next year for 99 when the time comes. But not really plan this. For me Omnisphere3 covers weird and beautiful, can mutate and has sound match etc etc, and its GUI is for my taste.

Yeah I saw this as well. Really hope they add drag and drop samples before I actually buy it with Komplete!
This is always a requested feature, surprised it's not included right off the bat.

Granular still has no visualizer, falling behind competition in terms of granular capabilities quite a bit.

I wonder if Absynth will get functional improvements in the future.

Also didn't work in Bitwig or Ableton Live.

Is there somewhere that it works?

Obviously not. NI's legal team cleared this behavior after checking all the EU legislation on the topic.

tbh I don't use the preset explorer - I don't really see how it is useful unless you just plan to use the presets it came with unless NI add the ability to analyse new patches and incorporate add-on banks.

It would almost cost me $500AUD, and I own Komplete Standard, multiple Kontakt libraries and an NI A49, audio interface, and Maschine. Brutal. That said, I am certainly not even close to needing a new, super complicated synth. Yet.
