I just stumbled upon the Probability Arp script; there's so much in Falcon that I didn't realise it existed. It's great, fits extremely well with the way I like to set things up. Only thing missing is a slide: is there another script to run in series that would generate slides based on probability?
Every day takes figuring out all over again how to f#ckin’ live.

So I'm wondering if Falcon has any ability to do universal macros for things like CC commands?
Basically can you assign 8 knobs on your hardware controller to say CC 22-29, and set up Falcon to use those for macros whenever it's selected in your DAW? You can do this with U-He, Arturia, Unify, and Plasmonic for instance.

As for the “Flac heavy” expansions like LoFi Dreams, I’m wondering if those samples are new, or whether they contain samples from other (existing) UVI soundware.

It's not you if you are using their portal. There is somewhere on the site a place where you can do straight downloads without the portal. I use the portal but do it as I'm about to go off for dinner.cwmod wrote: Mon Feb 13, 2023 6:49 pm Is it just me, or is download time a general problem with UVI?

Yep... doing them from https://www.uvi.net/my-products = faster downloads.ChamomileShark wrote: Mon Feb 13, 2023 7:31 pmIt's not you if you are using their portal. UVI has always had suuuuper slow downloads, portal or not. It's one of the few companies that just seem to refuse to use proper cloud servers for their stuff.

They also appear to have the same issue Arturia has that when major new products or updates are announced they don’t take advantage of the cloud’s ability to scale itself to meet demand (for a price) so all the downloads are at a crawl for days on end.

I have some feature requests for Falcon:
- Improved GUI speed, esp. the EQ drawing seems to be very slow on my m1pro mac. A gui speed just like UVI Shade.
- The comb filter modes of UVI Shade inside the digital EQ (so you can use it on voice level)
- Some more saturation options for each filter in the eq, similar to fabfilter twin 3 / volcano 3.
Then I am trying UVI Shade, it is a very nice plugin, and the gui is superb, fast, simple and fluent. Only I have some suggestions, too:
- Instead switching a band between stereo/L/R/MID/SIDE, it would be cool if it was a panner, blending between L and R or MID and SIDE. Similar to kirchhoff eq.
- If there is no oversampling, then 2x oversampling optionally (can't tell actually)
Thanks for consideration.

Now I understand why UVI was keen to be aquired by Image Line. Maybe they need their servers… UVI doesn‘t know how to host sample libraries, and IL doesn‘t know how to do Mac software… win-win…

I hope you're right, but honestly Image Line hired Angus from FXpansion, who knows how to do Mac software but has always been vocally a PC guy, same with Melda, and Image Line themselves are vocally PC guys. So IMO probably no hope of IL getting more Mac centric, but UVI will continue to be neutral I bet.Tj Shredder wrote: Wed Feb 15, 2023 6:31 am Now I understand why UVI was keen to be aquired by Image Line. Yes, UVI is very experienced in making professional plugins and DSP using JUCE and supporting the recent standards on mac, see UVI Shade. Also they do good designs. I guess that this is a win-win.Tj Shredder wrote: Wed Feb 15, 2023 6:31 am Now I understand why UVI was keen to be aquired by Image Line.
