Retrowave is an awesome expansion! Every sequence is usable and inspiring, some are pure genius........
Dreamscape, I love this one...
Impressive - as the sole name suggests...
Natural (100 x wow!) and Ocean Ride - pure awesomeness incarnated!!!

This time you got me.

For the other expansions that I bought from you, I had to think a lot before to buy them (a bit pricey for me...).

For this one, it was an INSTANT BUY

how is it? i hope not too many SQ's this is what really stinks about those XPs though. too many SQs and sometimes 5 Leads? this is ridiculous, i know SQs have Leads etc. but you know i would then have the SQ Leads etc. maybe also seperately saved in their categories and the SQs as a bonus :P

What an awesome retrowave preset pack.

I would like to suggest the following additions to Avenger to make it sound even more Synthwave / 80s like:

- A digital 80s filter. 80s is not so much about analog filters, but instead also about early digital workstation filters. Since early 80s did not have a 24db, it's mostly about a nice 12db filter. With a 24db mode of course. I think those filters sounded pretty “soft” and not so saturated (I could be wrong though), e.g. jv1080, korg 01w (improved m1 filters), https://pastebin.com/UsVHr20V Renoise old filter3 24db

- A additional analogue filter indeed, e.g. Korg Polysix (the vst)

- more precise unison features, like 2 spreading curves for pitch and stereo (fluent from log to exp), also curve for unison voices volume (so middle could be quieter), free osc vibrato, so the vibrato does not restart on new note

- Extended compressor or "compressor 2 / retro compressor": Knee parameter, and upwards compression. The current compressor quickly crackles a bit with very low attack, esp. on bass

- A retro kind of reverb: Density parameter, so you even can make it sound like almost a dense delay. Attack parameter, for sophisticated depth control, e.g. valhalla vintage reverb

- A 4n/8n butterworth filter for very precise, non-colored multiband layering and mixing, e.g. https://pastebin.com/CX5KptmY Renoise digital filter (see also the lp/hp/bandpass/bandstop modes)

Thanks for consideration, keep up the awesome work.

Hi!
That would be justified, but don't worry, the Retrowave 80s XP has enough of everything: Basses and leads are each almost 30, over 20 pads... See the SQs as a bonus, yes as a songstarter. On the other hand, there are also people who would like to have only SQs, but personally I find that not so good either. It should be a good mix of everything. With 142 presets there's enough to start! Thanks for the great comments! :tu:

At least the SQs in Avenger are easier / more practical to break down than Nexus. With Nexus, you can get in and randomly switch layers on and off under the hood trying to find out what they all do, play with basic balance, but that's about it. With Avenger its very clear, it's usually dead easy to isolate the element you like and tweak anything to taste. Often ARPs are baked in with Nexus, with Avenger of course you have total control.

Hi,

Does anyone know how to download your keyfile?
When i bought avenger, i got a serial number to activate it. But if i copy and paste this in the fields on my avenger page, i got an error. It says wrong format.
I need to enter my system id, But i have No clue what that would be. I only have this serial code, Maybe i missed something.

you paste it in the wrong field. There is another one in your account, paste it there

The only thing i have is an activatiecode code, that i got when purchased the avenger. For the rest i can’t find anything.

I have plenty of synths, so I've been holding back on Avenger but think it might be time to pull the trigger.
So I'm curious - what's peoples opinion of these soundsets: 8-bit, Cinematic, EDM fx and Retrowave?

For a first-time buyer steps are like this: purchase, receive email with a code, go to register.vps-avenger.com, register and enter the email code in the next screen and now you should have in your account links to download avenger and factory (and any other xp you purchased).

Since you mention system ID, that means you did all the above steps correctly. Now download avenger and factory. Install Avenger, install factory and on avenger welcome screen you should have you system id. You copy this system ID and paste it into your avenger account, and now you can download your avenger license (which you drag & drop to avenger to fully activate the product).

If you don't see your system ID, after starting Aveger go to SYS tab and your SystemID number will be right at the bottom of the SYS (settings) window, under the text with the version number.

Thanks for the help

Doesn’t make any diffirence for me. Since my avenger still not work, even after my graphic card upgrade. It still crashes allmy daws right away. I am done with it, after 3 weeks plus, still didn’t get any usefull answer from support. If you get any answer at all. So i decided to get rid of all my Vengeance stuff. It’s on sale now.

Retrowave 80s very nice.
Do I hear echos of New Order @3:26 ? Nice job.

Has anyone bought this? Can you tell me if the leads/bells/basses/pads are based on samples, or actually generated presets made within the synth itself?
