Sadly not with full recall...andypryce wrote: Sun Nov 18, 2018 4:53 pm My 10 reasons

If you automate any NoteFX, transform to audio and back to instrument track, all automation for the notefx is gone and lost forever...
I dropped a note at support as I hope this is only a bug...

never used like that but good to know. Hope it is a bug. Otherwise the best freeze type function ever.Trancit wrote: Sun Nov 18, 2018 7:11 pmSadly not with full recall...andypryce wrote: Sun Nov 18, 2018 4:53 pm My 10 reasons

I mean transform to audio and then chop repeat delete etc and one week later transform back to instrument track and all of that editing is mirrored on midi data. how cool is that

That´s true... I was very impressed by that too... I don´t know, if there is any other DAW out there offering the same flexibility in terms of freezing... that´s really amazingandypryce wrote: Sun Nov 18, 2018 9:11 pm Otherwise the best freeze type function ever.

Afaik not without a little trick:Caine123 wrote: Sun Nov 18, 2018 11:50 pm if i have a fx chain with 8 effects isnt it possible to solo a selected effect in the chain?![]()
Switch over to the "Routing" page of the fx chain...
Insert a splitter with "normal" splitting, which creates parallel processing...
Put all the fx into the i.e. left split
click on the splitter and check the "Mute" field for the left split...
Now you can drag the fx you want to solo to the right split and you hear only this fx...
It´s not as easy as in other DAWs but it works...

You can do it with two clicks.Caine123 wrote: Sun Nov 18, 2018 11:50 pm if i have a fx chain with 8 effects isnt it possible to solo a selected effect in the chain?![]()
De-activate all inserts by clicking the global on off button of the track (next to where it says Inserts)
and then activate the particular insert by clicking it's on off button.
But an alt/option click to deactivate the rest but the selected insert would be a good shortcut.

thx a lot guys! a bummer, in fl studio it is nice, you can solo 1 and again click on it as solo and then everything is back up! small things which i like, but sure each daw has pros/cons, but to promote about how customizable they are they surely arent so customizable in some parts
. still a young daw it seems and so far i like it.
@crashes:
im brandmarked about fl studio crashes. sadly studio one crashes yesterday already too
but it was after i was dragging in a new plugin ELYSIA KARAKTER, it was a test project so all is well. after updating the plugin it seems to work. either way is there an option when studio one saves automatically before a plugin is inserted or something? cause if i would have a critical project and forget to save every 5 minutes i would be angry ;D.
in fl studio it happens a lot that something works and then the next day the project cannot be opened or when opened introduces some probs suddenly etc. this is the biggest issue i test other daws which i hope have better? protection.

One thing, which bugs me a bit:
I am working a lot with percussion loops and I am used to work with them sliced up in i.e. Impact...
Is there really no way that Studio One creates the midi triggers for me when Shift+draggin the loop into Impact or at least a more simpler way than to drag the loop into the groove quantize window, drag the groove window onto a midi track and make the midi notes chromatic from i.e. C1???
I know it works for rex files when sending them into Sample One from the browser... but I have a lot of wav files too

You open Sample One, hold I think the shift or control key down, drag the loop file to the first note and voila.Vortifex wrote: Mon Nov 19, 2018 11:07 am Studio One Pro is now £130 at JRR Shop. Before I buy, I'd like to know if S1 allows me to right click a sample loop and have it automatically sliced and allocated across the keyboard?
Even I was offended by what I was going to put here.

You can right click the file and select ''send to impact'' So this creates a new İmpact Instrument and places the slices to pads/notesVortifex wrote: Mon Nov 19, 2018 11:07 am Studio One Pro is now £130 at JRR Shop. If you want to use Sample One instead, first you need to split by transient or grid and then send to Sample One again with right click menu.
